READ THIS BUT I WARN YOU, TAAS KAAYO NO but its just a piece of advice for you:
I WAS a BS Psych from USC who shifted to CDU (AB PSYCH). I shifted to CDU because USC psych was transferred to TC and it was too far for me na. Comparing both alone, USC has a better training. You should know that in the Philippines, psychology is VERY broad as a bachelor's degree. The courses are all mixed with clinical (clinical psychology), educational (guidance counselor/personnel) and industrial (HR Manager, etc) subjects in contrast sa other countries na specific gyud. So any of those fields can be attended to once you graduate form Psych. There is a new law that will be passed soon requiring certain professions form Psychology here in the Philippines to possess a license. Diri na ang problem if you only aim for Bachelors kay ang board exam, available ra sa Masteral students. This means that after you graduate from Psychology, you HAVE to take another 2 to 3 years of studying for masteral (Master's degree) either in clinical, industrial or educational to be able to take the board and if you pass, you can have your license. I don't consider myself a very intelligent student but psych subjects are relatively easy. Usually memorization and statistics (math) and some science-related subjects involving the brain, disorders, drugs etc. or basically biology. Know too that after psych, you may also proceed to Law or Medicine if you do not wish to do any masteral in clinical, industrial or educational fields.
Now, unsa man nga jobs imong ma apply? a lot! You can go for HR, teacher, guidance counselor, clinical psychologist, company trainer for employees, etc. but mao lagi na some of those jobs will soon require a license so dpaat ka mag masteral.
In SUMMARY:
Bachelor of Science in Psychology or Bachelor of Arts in Psychology = 4 years
Master of Arts in Psychology (you can choose clinical, educational etc.) = 2 to 3 years
and if feel pa nimo, pwede pa ka mag PhD. in Psychology = another couple of years.
PS. Mu agi diay kag internship sa psych for 400 hours before you graduate for a bachelor's degree. You can choose, clinical, industrial or educational setting depende unya feel nimo. USC has a lax internship na you can choose your sched for your internship hours. CDU ang teacher ang mu control sa imong internship sched. And check University of Philippines pud for psych.
FOR OT/PT
Now, NI SHIFT KO kay di gyud ko ganahan ug psych. i took psych cos my friend took it so YES OT stduent ko right now.
I suggest you inquire in cebu doctors' university for Bachelor of Science in PT/OT. Both courses are up to five years and you can also proceed for post grad for master's degree if you want. CDU has the best training in PT or OT in visayas or mindanao. from what I know, OT is harder than PT. You will also need to take board exams to get a license after for both OT and PT.
I don't know much about the processes for the board exam but if you wish to work abroad after for PT and OT, you will have to take three board exams daw. Also, for the internship (i only know of CDU's system). Basically, you have to complete 1,600 hours of internship with rotations on ALL hospitals related to Cebu Doctors so that includes Cebu doctors' hospital, north gen, south gen etc. you can also opt to do your internship in hong kong, manila, korea, or in the states. For the subjects, well with the nature of the course, mostly biology gyud na like human anatomy, zoology, etc.
Last advice, ayaw pangita ug sayon na course. While it is true that some courses are "tougher" over the others, as a student, it is easier to graduate and to finish if passion nimo imong course. Any course can become a nightmare if you're not into it.
