I so totally agree...gamay lagi silag crime rate ang other cities/province....pero tan.awa sad asa ka mas mabuhi....didto sa bukid or here sa city....di kaha ka magpangita ug facebook? internet? shopping? movies? and other recreational/fun activities that only cebu can offer?

Low population = low crime rate jud
High Population = High crime rate jud...alangan man sad...

with less than 1000 police to guard the over 800 000 residents of Cebu ... murag lisud jud i suppress ang crime...labi nasad nga some crimes happens inside the house which involves family....maybe ang usa sa mabuhat sa mga police is to lessen the crime through Police visibility...but as i said gamay ra jud tawn tag mga police....so they can only cover or be visible at certain places....

Year 2007 the crime rate dropped like crazy. Civilian to police ratio did not change much. Guess why?

Just because a city has more crime than another does not take into account the population size niya.

Crime rate should factor in the total population and we get the percentage of incidents of crime.

Possible man nga another city might have lower incidents of crime but they have a higher crime rate...

To make it simple ....Crime rate takes into account the population of a city / town. The report above does not factor that into the equation.

The reason that population is rarely considered in crime incidence/crime rate ratings is because it does not necessarily follow that a more populated location has a higher incidence of crime or a higher crime rate. Exception always exist like HK, Tokyo for first world territories and some areas in India for 3rd world.

the big problem IS, what if ang police mismo involve sa 3rd party crime... like as far as i know, cousin of my former classmate @ metc is a police officer 3, and shockingly dghan cyag "bata2x/assets" nga snatchers, tulisan, etc... anha mag remit niya ug snatch iphones, high end phones, laptops, etc.. Imagine pila ka police ang mag ingon ana dri sa syudad. I'm not saying that all police officers are crook, but some or even most of them are involve....

unsaon man ni pagsulbad ? common people already knew, sila ray protector ani. someone i know for example, tao2 sya sa isa ka High ranking Official. unsay racket nila? money laundering (who knows unsa pa). how on earth can you stop crime if sila mismo ang nagpasiugda. mao ni giingon, kita ray giluto sa kaugalingon natong mantika..
