Why would they say it was a "family-related outing" if it wasn't a family related outing? If it was, indeed, a family related outing, then her family would have known about her behavior and should have had the ability to judge whether or not her actions were considered "lewd". To say that her parents and family is not involved in this issue would be an insult to them and their judgment of morality. To say that her parents and family's judgment should be below that of the school's judgment (when in fact the event took place outside the school's campus and within a "family-related outing") would also be an insult to them and their judgment of morality as well.
Last time i check from post number 1 of page 1 ... it states :

She also said the photos were anything but obscene. These were taken during a birthday party in January held in Lapu-Lapu City. The occasion was “a private social activity” and did not involve the school’s supervision and control, the petitioner said.

That is because when we make threads , it should be supported tio the least , a link and that was the source of the discussion here unless naa daghan links inyong gusto pa i add to avoid confusion .

If I hang out with my cousins , that is still FAMILY ORIENTED and my parents doesnt have to be there . The point is , news can manipulate words . Unless the media was only making up stories that she was holding a lighted cigarette when in fact ballpen ra man diay to . Tell me unsay naka sakto sa isa ka 16 year old girl who comes from a well to do family assumingly kay physician iyahang father and studies in a Catholic private school ? Maybe kung nasakpan siya , pwede pa siya mo undergo ug counseling yet it was a picture that was broadcasted publicly though FB .

I agree. Students should be careful not bring shame to their school's name. But unless we see that picture, we'll never really grasp the true nature of this issue. Just sayin' that based on the information that we have now, I think the school admin has a lot of explaining to do.
And so does the parents of the girl who allowed this to happen if indeed man gani na tinuod to na " FAMILY ORIENTED " . It might not be a crime for them but the values being upheld and looked upon by the society .

I don't know about you, but a "family-related outing" pretty much sounds like a "private social activity" to me. And I doubt that there'd be no responsible adults around to manage a "birthday party" that is "family-related".

They are both news paper articles from credible sources and whether or not it was posted on Page 1 by TS like you said (which, as you know, is beyond my forum abilities), I will still honor the source. If you do not wish to acknowledge this addition and further additions to the discussion, I do not care. If you wish to challenge the credibility of these media sources, that is up to you. But for argument's sake, let's just say they ARE NOT mistaken.

Again, it is pointless to discuss this any further when all of us have no clue what that photo really looks like. The arguments presented here will always be "what if's". As I've said before, my initial opinion is that the school has definitely crossed the line. "Initial" being "at first" and will be subject to change when we learn more about the issue, like any normal person would do.

No need to get personal about what you and your "cousins" do. I would love to hear more but then we might go off topic.

Never in my post that I challenged the media sources , I was emphasizing where I got mine since we are discussing here and it is very wrong to have talk about something when it is baseless . You can and never conclude that they are not mistaken . Like what you said , you dont even know or have the slightest idea what these pics look like . Samot na kung written by a third party ( media ) pa jud .

FAMILY RELATED OUTING = PRIVATE SOCIAL ACTIVITY .... I doubt and in the means of understanding key words there , I dont think so . Like I said , given na they are the same , the parents does not have to be there just because its a FAMILY OUTING .

You are now initiating a BIAS JUDGEMENT . Have you considered why the school " crossed the line " ? Puro man kaha ta WHAT IF's diri ? The funny part also ? Ni about gud ug page 6 ang topic na clueless ta tanan unsay nahitabo gyud . Ani na lang . Since we can always assume and to play safe , consider these scenarios .

Put yourself in the shoe of :

    - The PARENTS of the girl .... what would you do and feel assumingly na ang picture kay wholesome/family oriented or obscene gyud .
    - The SCHOOL ADMINISTATOR of the institution .... what would you do in upholding the policies that does not side or in line with the schools vision and mission ?
    - The GIRL itself .... what would you do given na kitang tanan naay share of STUPIDITY man jud sa school ?

You dont have to discuss this if you cant take it . Ayaw lang ipamugos pod na SAYOP ang SCHOOL because wala pa man resulta sa investigation karon sa korte .

No need to get personal about what you and your "cousins" do. I would love to hear more but then we might go off topic.
Familiarized with the word IF and its function in a sentence . Heck , pets are even considered FAMILY

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++

Ang naka alegre gyud diri pod kabalo mo unsa ? Sama ra pod ni sa issue atong KANO na nag himo ug VIDEO about 20 THINGS I DISLIKE ABOUT THE PHILIPPINES .

    - That daghan ni react tungod kay puti siya and kung BISDAK pa toy gahimo , asa kaha to mo ulbo ang kspa ninyo .
    - That ang issue karon is involved ang simbahan na pod in the representation of the Catholic nuns who runs the school , maayo kaayo mo maka react . Pero ug di pa to mga madre ? Ok ra ?

What does that boil down now and suggest ?? I am sorry for you guys .
