depende na sa software. uban if premium/full - realtime protection. check lang sa site ng antivirus.

dont mislead TS for such statement bro!!.. depende ra sa AV nga nag hatag sa Free, ang uban nga Free walay Antispyware and uban walay firewall and uban hinay ug update/less prioritized sa server ang uban walay realtime scan sa spyware so on..... been using free AV's and free Firewalls for the past 6 yrs now.. and nothing is too special about paid AV's. use a any linux distro and virus is not a problem anymore.

+1 ko ni tsunade,... There's nothing wrong about those free AVs... just choose those with good functions and update support... Im using the bitdefender free and it has the same scanning engine as the paid one and its updateable too... Free AVs give you ON-DEMAND (manual scan at your request) and ON-ACCESS (auto-detection e.g. autorun viruses) virus protection and most have no expiration.. Its basic but its already good and its FREE... Just... it doesn't have real-time internet protection from phishing and spam and other functions offered by premiums. If you're savvy enough, you don't even need an antivirus program..
