got this phone from gizmo yesterday.
unsaon pag import sa contacts sa sim to phone. gimano-mano gyud nako pag move ang akong contacts from my previous phone ngadto sa blank sim. karon wala ko kakita og option to copy all the contacts from the sim to phone sa A60. wala na koy panahon mo transfer sa sim to phone manually.
hope someone can help and teach me if there is such a command to do it.
nindot ni dah, im planning to get one nya puhon, after ko makapalit sa jazz![]()

I have been using the A60 as my primary phone since last year. value for money, you get more than you pay for!
with the older versions ive had trouble with multipoint bluetooth. other than that my issue was the extreme slowdown at times but i can't blame it coz of my near 5k phonebook n the unit has just 200mb of usable ram.
so ive been hard at work finding work arounds. here at gizmo we manage to get our hands on the latest gingerbread build of the a60 and tweaked it a bit and rooted it for maximum advantage over stock gingerbread so if you like to get your unit upgraded drop by gizmo. better stock theme/color scheme. better dialer. better rebooter. etc. also fixed the bluetooth multipoint issue.
here are some of my user tweaks/tips to get by each day a whole lot easier leaving me with better overall experience with my A60.
1) install go luancher ex for better look and feel and better functionality than the stock launcher.
2) install gowidget taskmanger & contacts (note: this is not the go contacts ex. most 3rd party contacts and dialer apps dont play well with dual sim phones)
gowidget taskmanger allows you to view how much ram is left and kill active apps right from the homescreen with ease.
gowidget contacts allows you to have a direct links to contacts. i use the FAVORITES list (starred) to set direct dial or direct text to my most often contacts. true one touch dialing.
3) for text i ditched handcent for a lighter option called pansi sms. though there are advantages to the stock sms app. its an option. i just perfer the clean look and feel of the pansi compared to the stock A60 messaging app.
4) you can assign sims to each number in the phonebook. so if you are like me that many of my contacts have two numbers or more, when you tap the number to dial, it will suggest to dial out on the right sim. makes it less confusing considering its a dual sim.
5) to call someone not in the fav list, instead of going to contacts app, go directly to dialer app and type the name with corresponding number to each letter, it will dispay the person u are looking for much faster. it uses smart progressive search and in my case its easily 5x faster in find someone from my huge contacts list.
6) set your off and on scheduler in settings. that way everyday the phone gets a fresh reboot without hassle to you. i set it around 2am to turn off and back on by 5am. you can set it 15mins after it turns off if u prefer. that way u start the day off with a fresh phone.
7) as a habbit, i use the taskmanager widget to kill all running before i do something with the phone, that way i get max ram available before i do any new task.

id like to comment on a post i saw here
https://www.istorya.net/forums/gizmos...l#post12260903 about a review from this site
Lenovo A60 Shortcomings Review | Gadget Mech
#1 and# 2 issue is none existent in the current units. ive had mine since last year never had creaking or difficulty pressing etc. as described by the article.
#3 issue is kinda true its not superb quality screen as compared to highend models however considering the price its super good already.it has a large 3.5 high res capacitive screen with good responsiveness. other units at this price would still be stuck with smaller inferior resistive screens. viewing angle isnt high BUT many people i know who buy iphones and high end samsungs with high viewing angles put privacy screens anyways to limit the viewing angle. this way no need for that hehe.
#4 issue i also have to refute. i experience consistent warmer situations with the iphone 4 and 4s than the A60 in heavy use and charging mode. its really a pretty cool phone.
#5 issue again is unsupported, all over this forum those who bought the A60 claims of up to 4 days of batter use per charge.
i personally can survive a busy full day of use on the a60 with one charge. i could never have that luxury with the iphone4/4s.
#6 i can't comment much bout this as im not much of a gamer. but my friends keep playing with it, havent heard complaints. i wouldnt expect top notch framerates vs flagship phones but again consider the price i think is very good enough.
#7 one is clearly provided at the bottom center of the device.
#8 yes i agree, i truly wish the ram was at least doubled. i wouldnt mind paying more for double the ram.
this is really the only real shortcoming on my book for this phone.
#9 again this is an affordable device. not a flagship phone. cant expect stellar camera. at least two cameras are provided giving ability for face to face video calls.
#10 i only know of a couple of camera phones that can change focal length to this date. the a60 is not an exception to the norm. if his talking about digital zoom then i can confirm the A60 has 8x zoom.
yes camera isnt stellar and ram is limiting but i have to say, please try one before you ditch it completely.
if dual sim is required (like in my case) AT ANY PRICE RANGE, at the moment this is the most capable feature packed best option in the market today.

Thanks Mark, I got the contacts sorted already.
I will visit Gizmo one of these days to get my phone rooted.
In the meantime, I have few additional questions for you.
1. Can you assign an mp3 ringtone on sim 2?
2. Will skype (voice) works on un-rooted phone?
downloading go widget contacts right now =)
