It doesn't matter, most of either side are doing good so far.
For me, the cebuanos are the luckiest of the filipinos when it comes to politics because we have a big pool of competent politicians. and it's because of the mentality of the people. they mostly vote competent politicians, so only competent politicians can serve them. you reap what you sow. yes it's true that there we're times that the likes of nanding celeste we're voted into office. it only showed that the people were not afraid to explore unfamiliar grounds. but when the man came up short of the people's expectations, the people quickly realized the mistake. and you won't catch them doing that stupidity again and again and again, just like what's happening in manila manifested by sequels of edsa's.

now, it's time for the cebuanos to lead the nation, by example. not by shameless domination and misrepresentation of the whole population. our 'national-minded', overbearing big brothers from luzon have sucked-up most of the chances of leading this country to prosperity but they failed miserably many times over. the 'national', 'unity nazi', one herd approach is found to be not working and not applicable to the nature of our society, why not try the regional approach. more empowerment and autonomy to each of the culturally distinct regions of the country for them to reach their full potential and aspirations. cebu is capable of leading in that respect. if other regions can do a cebu act, we don't need manila to bring up this country. and manila can start dealing it's own problems.
