Please, don't make it seem as if we're being bullied. No one's 'out to get us.' Dying? Really? Get off your soapbox.

Someone here pointed out that when we hear praise about this country, we like to inflate our sense of self worth. But when criticisms--which are perfectly valid and not without basis, are thrown at us--we have a hissy fit. In other words, it's fine and dandy for foreigners to heap praise on us, but they can't talk smack, is that right?

Filipinos are one of the very few people who take every slight, every verbal jab, every critique personally. We have a national inferiority complex, and it's evident when people like you rush to defend against foreigners who just happened to be telling the truth. At the end of the day, your efforts to 'stand up for your Filipino pride' are in vain. The status quo remains, and the Philippines is still a developing country. Best use your efforts to pay it forward and call for change instead.

Oh please, I am not taking it personal and we both know this issue isn't.. and its all just about business.. The tourism business of the Philippines vs channelfix's.. To reiterate, the video was scripted to connote a malicious message as such only to get attention from the public for promotion of a private company. Analyze this.. How/why, a Joe would say in a video, it's his experiences then later says in an interview that he's just a paid actor?
Wheres the truth in that? He was given the privileges of staying/working here and then abused it.. And by the way, its not about when "foreigners" say this foreigners say that, heck the same accusations is thrown at ABS-CBN for manipulating the truth in their news coverages on a daily basis.. And Filipinos are one of the very few people who take it personally? LOL get real, talk about the blacks, hispanics, latinos, and even of some asian countries.. I would agree however, we do have this "inferiority" complex.. Joe has to be the one to say it, otherwise it would not be the truth, nobody would care if he experienced it or not.. hehehe..
