how long does it take for one to be hired? week/s? month/s?
depende ra bro kung mangugi ug apply.. ako it took me months
hi , pa experience nman mag part.time pls. need lang jud ko sideline. Hope nay mag pa join diha mga master..
it also took me months before maka-establish. 3rd job ko pa lang on oDesk. i registered november 2010. i got my first job December 2011. i didn't feel like pursuing it kasi nainis ako dun sa set of instructions na inaral ko for several days, then at the last part naka-indicate that the formats i've studied are not applicable anymore. tinamad na ako after that.
but after migrating here and being a housewife, i renewed my interest with oDesk. i had some friends (on other offshore freelance work sites) who've bought a living room set and other appliances from their earning. dako ang kita umabot $150/$200...
i ramped up my profile, studied other Filipino contractors' profile & rates. after some weeks I secured a client on a fixed rate project. natuwa xa and then hired me for other hourly rate projects.
advise to newbies, don't feel frustrated if ma-decline sa application or matagal feedback. take oDesk tests & expand your quota para madami ka maapplyan. tyaga lang talaga!
