    article states that Philippines BPO path will focus more on non-voice and more complex backend support, like providing analytics for lawyers, doctors, and banks.

    im no longer in the BPO, just sharing good news to my friends in the bpo industry

    this is not limited to programming jobs alone. im working as a stock analyst for a start-up hedge fund and my boss is in new york. we have lots of support that are outsource to different countries, that includes the philippines.

    we needed to outsource since getting a new grad is so expensive and he will just be doing basic client hook-up, meeting arrangement, all the basic stuff that a columbian univ grad wouldn't want to do.

    there are lots of opportunities for non-voice work, majority of it is at back-office support.
