Seagate GoFlex
still boils down with user preference. seagate and western digital for me
DIY External for me
that's : Seagate Momentus | Momentus XT - NON OEM Mobile HDD + Phillips or other usb 2.0 enclosure | cdrking enclosures
reason : ease on warranty and choice of enclosures | cables
WD - the HDD is integrated sa USB connection Chipset, ini kamatay sa chip , human ang HDD..when after a year na, piti ang warranty, since OEM man. imong ibalik sa imong gpalitan
most of the time, dili i honor : have this situation 3 x
when maguba ang cable, picky kaayo.
maayo untag naay cable ra baligya
Seagate | Toshiba : if OEM , same issue ..warranty
like my opismates' seagate goflex 500GB..
within warranty pa unta ang HDD, but OEM man..
ibalik sa gpalitan..and dili na honoran kay lapas na ug 1year
vote ko sa akong ext HDD, WD Elements. though 3.5" ni siya (bulky and requires ext. AC power). na-anad nalang pd ko.. almost 1 year with me. no problems so far. pero naa man sad 2.5" available karon (wala nman cguro ang 3.5" kron...)
buffalo ko walay blema
no love for Samsung?
bought my Samsung 500GB sa Jebel Ali, U.A.E for $55US
1 month after they were selling 1TB at $65US.
OT,
here's something interesting
on a regular basis we transport hard drives and other electronic items.
i take special attention to them as they are shipped on a refrigerated container.
we load them at Singapore and discharge them at U.A.E.
pero ang gawas mas cheaper mopalit sa U.A.E.
nindot sad bya ang Samsung boss,
naay Autobackup and Secretzone software included.
dili sad mamili ug USB cable.
unlike sa akong other external HD nga acer nga pili-an ug cable.
na-mention naman nako ang Acer,
mas prefer ko ani kay shockproof.
so my vote goes to any ehd nga shockproof ^^
I'll go for Western Digital Passport.. i have one, 1 year na without any issues..
Seagate user here.. .=)
