Windows Server 2003 on Dell Optiplex 780 problem

I am having problems on installing winserver 2003 on this platform, I already changed the sata operation on BIOS set up.

I have already installed windows server 2003 on dell t3400, ang problem adto kay mu"BSOD" inig windows set up inig format.

*fixed by switching the sata operation from AHCI to ATA


same problem occured in 780, pero di masulbad. One operation succeeded on installing the WinServer 2003 hangtod sa page nga installing devices, mucrash dayon.



naa mo nahivaw an unsaon ni pag install?



akong culprit kay ang drivers, pero nisuway ko ug attached ug flash drive nga naay drivers for WinXP hinuon sa dell 780 in this stage(installing devices) crash man jhapon.




any ideas guys?

1. go to bios and change sata operation from AHCI to ATA
2. install OS
3. once OS installed, download and install sata drivers from support.dell.com
4. restart system
5. go back to bios and change back sata operation from ATA to AHCI


if you are stuck at step number 2 then try installing other OS versions aside from server 2003 and check if BSOD still persist

No problem with windows XP OS, problem still occurs. As what i have mention BSOD occurs on the stage of Installing devices on winserver 2003. I am also looking for winserver 2003 SP2 installer since my 2003 is way too old.. much2x old

these are the most common issues that i have encountered with optiplex systems for the longest time i worked with dell (4 years) ky dell certified tech man ko. probably sa OS jud na bai. if xp and win7 will install without any issues then probably try installing via usb or network image.

try daw himo og usb bootable installer bcn pa lang mada

@werty= sp1 rah lgeh naa dri sa office boss, maupgrade vah nang installer bsan wa pah giinstall? kasuway namoe??

ay SP1 pa diay ning OS mo? thats the reason why cguro d mag lahos install ky ang SP2 naa nay built in sata drivers sa installation pack.

suwayi himo og another bootable cd sa win2003server mo but slipstreamed na ang SP2 sa installer. this should most likely resolve the issue

pwede raman tingali mag slipstream ug SP2, not sure.. d ko server user---bag-o ra ko ga practice kai nid sa opisina hehehe...
