MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) – A private plane crashed in an area in Camiguin, Northern Mindanao on Sunday, killing its Filipino pilot and a Norwegian woman passenger.
The fatalities were identified as Christian Cesar Cebracus and Racquel Strande
According to Director General Ramon Gutierrez of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the plane was carrying three other people.
The others were identified as Indonesian co-pilot Nurmala Dewi, the woman's husband Lance Strande, and their 3-year-old child Jensola.
The three were immediately rushed to the hospital.
The CAAP said the plane, which has a tail number of RPC209, departed from the Mactan airport in Cebu and was en route to Camiguin for a sight-seeing.
