Welcome to the club na nagka interest sa GSD breed .

I would leave that explanation maybe for MYPETSTATION since she has 1st hand , hands on experience regarding GSD pups .

The rest would be very basic like up to date vaccination and enough playtime .

sir, if the pups will be born in april, i would suggest you get the pup in june and not in may. wean the pup when he/she is at least 9 weeks (or 2 months) of age and already has at least 3x deworming and 2x 5in1 vaccine. you don't want to wean too early. or at least this is just my take. there are a lot of other breeders out there that will wean the pups as early as they can (mostly to save on the vaccines, deworming, and food! - and have the new owners spend for it na)

haha, ako man jud. i am no expert ha but through experience, compared to other breeds, GSDs need a lot of exercise. i walk my GSD 3x a day. their legs (especially the hind legs) get weak if they don't get regular walking. for pups, you can supplement with vitC and Calcium to help with bone development. you also have to remember that GSDs shed regularly so you might want to brush every now and then. and lastly, be careful what you feed. GSDs are very prone to allergies, they are very sensitive. ask the breeder of your pup what he/she is feeding and try to keep that up. if you really want to switch you can try royal canin for GSD, Purina Pro Plan or canidae L&R. oh and also, during the trainings in our club, we learn that different pups have different drives and temperament. you have to be able to channel those correctly and know how to deal with them to make your pup happy. (i.e. a pup with very high drive can never be content with just sitting around all day.)
hope this helps! i may have missed out some things so feel free to ask if you have any more concerns. also, there are a lot of members of the CVGSDA who will be glad to help and guide you along the way in raising your GSD, join the club!

    @ PIMPMYJUNK ....

I suggest also to check us out in one of our trainings and be familiarized sa breed in actual . Questions are free to ask and answers are given heartily also .

You can meet the members , get acquainted and by the time you are ready for some action , you will be ready to join the club na . Most important of all , its your money so its also best for you to know what is best for , the right pup for you and specially the proper way in selecting a pup and no one can guide better than the German Sheperd enthusiast themselves .
