i think u need to work on ur resizing method...your image doesnt come out as detailed...

use photoshop. load the image

resize the image by going into =>image=>image resize
input 72 as resolution.
input 500pixels on the longer size under pixel dimention.
use bicubic sharper under resample

save the image as jpg quality 7 and you should be good
