Help!my ASUS K40IJ SERIES LAPTOP wont detect USB

hi mga brod! ang akong na experience sa akong laptop is!dili na xa mo detect ang usb, naa power ang usb. but di lang jud xa mo detect sa system. il try updating the bios. but still cant detect! nya one time akong gi restart ang unit ni detect na xa pero intermetent lang! nakasugat namo ani mga bro? please help me. tnx a lot.

under warranty pa na bro? ipa admit na lang na sa ASUS service center pero sa di pa nimo ipa admit back up al ur files kay basin padulong nag replace imo laptop....

is it working before?

if you have internet connection, update the USB driver after the BIOS.
you might also try re-installing the drivers from the installer DVD that came with your unit..

^ here is how:

-press ALT then double click my Computer
-press "Hardware" tab
-click "Device Manager"
-on the device manager, expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
-select one and right click
-select "Update Driver", "the Hardware Update Wizard" will appear
-on the wizard, there is a question, "Can windows connect to windows update to search for software?", select "Yes, this time only"
-press next
-"What do you want wizard to do?", select "install the software automatically (recommended)"
-then wait for it

there are two possible results.
one is that the wizard cannot find a better match blah blah blah..

two is if the wizard founds an update.

note: if one item under the device manager has a question mark symbol, meaning it has issues. usually, driver reinstallation or update is just the solution.

try to resort into reinstalling your OS and also the drivers of your lappy. Maybe it will work out.
