    You can go to wolfram to get the books:

    Wolfram Mathematica Tutorial Collection

    I've tried Mathematica before, but switched to later to Matlab. Matlab has a much richer set of libraries.

    At the time I switched Mathematica does not have the signal processing toolkit which Matlab has.
