    Going back to film

Mai new camera Minolta Maxxum/Dyxum/Alpha 9
The Last Film SLR made by minolta
The only slr that can fire ss 1/12,000
The whole body is made from magnesium alloy and rubber
The bad side of this cam its not SSM ready (sony's = Super Sonic Motor e.i. so all new sony lenses with SSM and SAM wont work, normal motor speed lang), but in sony germany u can upgrade the AF ic to enable SSM

More specs here ---> Specifications | KONICA MINOLTA

Sample shots will be posted soon soon soon...

Found an FD-EF lens adaptor on ebay which i'll try out, hopefully it will work ok.
Your adaptor will mount your FD lens on your EF body but I don't think that your FD lens would be able to focus to infinity due to the different film/sensor distance between the two mounts.

    I collect them.

I'm using a 35-70 mm Nikon lens from my FM2 as my macro lens on my Canon 550D. Here's the thread:

I guess you can use your old canon lenses the same way.

buy an expired kodachrome film in ebay, put it inside the old film camera and shoot like there's no tomorrow.

I used to own M42 (screw mount lenses), specifically SuperTak 28mm f/3.5, SuperTak 135mm f/3.5, Helios 58mm f/2, and a Jupiter 9 85mm f/2. My favorites were the 135 and 58mm. I mounted them on my Canon 450D with an M42 to EOS adapter.

Until now, none of the AF lenses I used can duplicate the sharp yet soft quality of these photos taken with the Helios (click to see how sharp this lens is even at f/2 although the DOF is narrow):

I only sold them because of my poor eyesight and I wasn't ready to change the screen of my DLSR's viewfinder into a split screen.
