kinda reminds me of a korean student asking why our colleges here still has PE classes.

anyways. in K12..
Engineering will be shortened to 4years instead of 5 like in other countries
and other courses will be shortened to 2years or 3years.
Highschool graduates will be employable and no more need to go to college for everyone(so less cost).
that is not what dep ed introduced..
