If you want a 'little' privacy of your browsing history, you can use the "Do not Track" feature of Firefox.

Tools > Option > Privacy > Tell websites I do not want to be tracked

Right. Although Google has user privacy settings to turn off or disable web history (includes your google searches and visited sites), it does not mean that your web history is not kept for internal purposes. Personal data will still be stored and be used by for law enforcement if there are court orders. Even deleted messages, posts, pictures and accounts in Facebook are still archived.

    ^^ I agree totally...

I think you guys are just totally paranoid about google's privacy and everything...

Now what you should be paranoid at is kanang inyong g click nga BLOGSPOT sa TS nga wala mo kbaw if it brings some malicious spywares on to your computer(just by clicking that link and going to his BLOGSPOT)

Google is a big company and sure it has some ANTI TRUST issues... just like all internet companies out there, including Apple and Samsung...

But I for myself, could not replace GOOGLE as my one and only search engine.. (bsag naa pa koy Google Account)

Google couldn't care less about your personal infos anyway(granted they really steal your information)..

Kinsa ba ka nga importante na jud kaayo ka nila?? ha?

Anyway I totally agree on saying the TS is really just advertising his /her blog and the Google ish, is just the icing on the cake in making his website popular to you guys....

Lol, mis information mani ui... dugay rman na implement ni and its not just Google but even yahoo and other search engines has this sort of cookie tracking. also in particularly with sites that uses a some sort of visitor tracking feature to monitor their statistics. ie Google Analytics...

You can read more about google cookies and analytics here

And for better understanding go here ,better if you watch all the slides from 1 -13 or but if your in a hurry, you can go straight to slide title number 4.

    Just a short note:
Websites only have access to the information you provide.
    Example:
A website cannot determine your email unless you provide it.
A website cannot gain access to other information in your computer.

Once a first party cookie is created, only the website that created it can read it.
Also all types of cookies has some sort of expiration date or might just be automatically deleted when you quit the browser.

So no need to be alarmed! xD

This is an OT post to air out my side. I would like to emphasize a few points:

    1) It is indeed true that I am promoting my site as it is relatively new (just a couple of months old), however, I don’t think that promoting one’s site to big sites like Facebook, Twitter and Istorya.net is a bad thing. In the name of fairness, I think there is nothing wrong with promoting my site.

    2) The Google update issue was also posted in engadget. I am wondering if I placed engadget’s link instead of onecebu.com, would I receive the same allegation? Do take note that this is under the same context which is “sharing useful information”.
-> Last chance to clear out Google Web History before the great data convergence -- Engadget

    3) For those of you who believe that my site OneCebu - Information and Guide - Food, Travel, Events, Insights, and Classifieds <http://www.onecebu.com> would give, spyware, malware or any sorts of harm to their units, attached here is a webmaster screenshot of how Google assists my site.

    4) A tip for those who are in doubt about the safety of their units (pc, laptop, etc), I have a small guide on how to secure your system using free tools. You have the option to accept this information or not.
-> Protect your PC and Laptop for Free | OneCebu - Information and Guide

We may try to disseminate information to 100 audiences with only 10 finding it useful. Despite that, we are still contented as we believe we have served our mission. Furthermore, it's an avenue for us to grow further.

Finally, I personally thank you for the comments you've made. My team and I would surely learn from these. Have a nice day everyone.
