Try to check kuno sa Disk Management kung nakabutang ba didto ang imong DVD-ROM. It is usually labeled as "CD-ROM 0". Basin ug drive/drive letter conflict.

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\Disk Management

In the Disk Management tab, check if you're dvd-rom is listed. Right-click on it and click on "Change Drive Letter...". On the dialog box that pops-up, click on the "Remove" button.
Repeat this process again, but instead of the remove button, select "Add" and assign a different drive letter for your dvd-rom. Click OK.

salamat kaayo sa inyo mga reply mga bro..try nako i-reply tagsa inyo mga questions..1st, ide ako cable gamit sa ako dvd rom..specs kay processor: AMD X3; hdd: WD 500GB HDD; OS: Win 7 32bit Ultimate; motherboard: kalimot ko naa man gud ko sa office ron nagpost kay wala koy net sa balay..

ibalhin sa sata_2 ang cable nimo.

uninstall nya install balik bro, sa device manager

na-try na nako bro, wala japon mowork..

driver conflict or hardware is already too old for the new OS, or loose contact SATA connectors...

dili cya ma conflict issue kay ni-work man cya before..siguro loose contact ide cable pero kapila na nako gi-unplug replug sa mga cables, wala japon mowork..

Do you have virtual drive softwares like Alcohol, Daemon or Poweriso? Sometimes they cause confusion to the OS (OS ra). Mawala tanan apil ang tinuod nga optical drive..
