@crinkle thanks! i did pm'ed your bf na.asking for more tips

@Streetcar hehehe..lagi oi, nabag-ohan ko.barato ra man gud didto sa may plaridel..tag 10p usa..puwede gani hangyo 3 for 25p. i was originally planning for just only 1 or 3 in a glass bowl, thne have to get an aquarium na jud to accomodate them all.naka gasto jud og dako-dako in those aquarium stuffs and gadgets. pond? dili man cguro mabuhi ang goldfish outside. i did read about that. they need at room temperature.. yupz! need to improvise with that filter.a plastic tubing extension would do the trick in vacuuming those hard to get debris..especially now i've added pebbles. the debris is more harder to get. added some fresh water plants too to make them feel like home hahaha! mao jud. when i sit near the aquarium. most of them would crowd near me..haha! naa na koy mga fans. mao bah..mao gani man nindot daghan para if ever one dies..naa pa daghan.dili kaayo sakit.bunnies..hmmm..out of the picture sa na.ok man pod na.they multiply really fast..hehe.. taking good care of them would be a learning process.hope to see them grow big

here's my aquarium (needs further beautification though..)

Hi titaniumbox, wow! nag enjoy ko ug tan-aw sa imong mga goldfish, what pretty colors and shapes. mine was even smaller than that when i first got it. they look very beautiful kaayo. It looks like you dont need to add any more toys sa aquarium since you already have the plant food on top, am i right? they need space to swim freely back and forth, end to end. you should see mine before totally bare as I wanted for the fish to swim freely. hopefully makakita ko ug old pic ni goldie to share with you and how big she was after 8 years. yes mag enjoy na gyud ka ug tan-aw ana. seeing your aquarium morag kapaliton na man nuon ko ug isda. adto ko sa pet store, hehehe aw ayaw na lang sa....lots of work lagi. among bunny babae siya ra usa kung in case mamatay ni siya, dili na ko mag pets. lisud. lots of work. Sige enjoy i'm sure out of the many goldfishes that you have, naa ka favorites which one no? thanks for sharing.

hehehe! thanks! makalingaw bitaw permi stare and just see what they are doing.yupz! the more the merrier man gud. mao na akong gi mix different types. oic.baby pa jud diay si goldie that time.. mine is already an inch or so na kadakoon. i'll take those as a compliment.thanks! yeah,, ok na cguro na xa.water plants would do. at least mas natural dating nila and they'll feel like home. plus it would get crowded na kung butang-butang pa og figurings or houses dira.

hehe..those are not plant food.hydrilla mana. they do try to eat it.more likely tasting it lang. e submerged pa man unta nang hydrilla, butangan pabug-at o pebbles..but i do like it na floating pod ang uban..

ok, i'll be waiting for goldie's pic.

hahaha! maoh! aquarium screensaver nalng usa..virtual..no need to feed or take care of.

oic.yupz! hard to have pets if you or anybody in the household can't take care of it.luoy lang..

hmmm..my fav lastime was that "nemo" type. the only one with white and gold color. xa lang usa unique dira.la syay kaparehas.. but he turned out to be a bully. a very aggresive one lately. sya cge gukod og bump bump sa mga black mole.. dili xa gusto naay black duol sa iya..tsk tsk tsk.. naa xa racial discrimination..hehe..

your welcome! hope others can share too here.

hi titanium, enjoy gyud ka anang imong mga goldfish its really fun to watch them. naay isda nga mokaon ug dirty debris sa aquarium kalimot ko sa name pero kana siya nga klase mopilit lang na sa mga sides sa aquarium, scavenger something. I did not buy it before kay nahadlok ko basin kan-on ang goldfish but they say its safe to put in the aquarium although i did not buy it. I dunno kung na save nako ang album ni Goldie before i must have deleted the pics cause it makes me sad when i see my Goldie i even took pictures of her when she was floating na lang and dead. Basin na delete na nako tanan. Its ok, enjoy man ko sa imong mga isda. Mas nice looking pa imong goldfish compared to the one i got before kay the most plain looking fish ra to siya maybe a family of goldfish Koi. So they get really big. Dont overfeed your fish pag set ug time during the day or evening for feeding time and that's it. once a day ra. unless you notice morag gutom but they usually take it anyway anytime of day. Nice tana kung daku kaayo imong aquarium butangan nimo ug mga toys with pump like a clam shell that opens and closes, little nemo houses, lol., kanang morag magtuyok tuyok nga toy i forgot the name morag spinning wheel siya, those are really nice....that if you have space gyud sa aquarium. Sige keep me posted about your goldfish.

yupz! enjoy jud.pero was quite busy the past 2 days..process birth cert sa NSO, passport renewal..took me almost a day to finish. when i came back home yesterday 1 golfish was beginning to float and very weak.minutes later it died then today, woke up early to send off my sister to the airport..before noon 2 more died. i don't know why suddenly they died. i temporarily put them again in plangana while i clean the aquarium. i remove the pebbles.its more difficult to clean kung naay pebbles. motago ang mga debris and decomposing food underneath. my dad say maybe they're overcrowded.. or maybe too much oxygen?? (i did split the air pump supply so there would be two airstone bubbling each corner.. or could it be the water..starved to death or being overfed. too many theories for the cause of death..waaaahhh! hope they won't all die..

its a janitor fish. my gf suggested also having that. i don't know. its also a fish. it too would popo db? and i don't think that it would eat its own popo..maybe the other goldfish's popo.

ah ok, that's alright. if deleting the pic or any remembrance makes your feel better. why not.

hehehe..maybe that's the difference..the fancier tha goldfish, the shorter is its lifespan. im now considering other types of fish besides goldfish family. maybe those would have a higher chance of surviving.. if the time comes when all my goldfish perishes

hmmm.. maybe some other time na kung ma expert na ko sa fishes. im still on the learning phase. im trying to keep things simple lang usa. keep them alive. yupz, there's lots of fancy toys you can place on your aquarium.. but i read that the simpler the better. coz those colorful figures/statues are being painted or dyed. that can eventually poison the goldfish on the long run..

im observing them carefully now that im not busy anymore..the black moles are the weakest.. i segragate the three to the bowl with an aerator..

taking care of goldfish is a lot of work as i thought it would be.don't know who wuld take care of them if ever i go on vacation or out of town..

Hi Titanium, sorry to hear namatay ang uban nimo nga fish. Maybe na overcrowded sila. One is enough to start with. Yes remove pebbles the fish dont need those its just for decorative purpose. The food debris and all settles sa big stones and pebbles so there you need that clear tube i told you about to suction out all that dirt and its more difficult with the stones. Try the water conditioner i told you about also. Goldfish is the easiest to take care and they are actually less maintenance compared to tropical fish and they also adjust to varying water temperature basta not too warm they can stand in the cold as well. About that fish, here its called diay scavenger fish. Also btw, avoid moving and transferring fish so much mamatay na sila sa stress. They need to stay in the water where they're used to at least for 48 hrs. tua na ang right ph for them. I can only think its overcrowding they could injure each other or your water's ph. So try to get the water conditioner. Mao gyud its a lot of work. I haven't replaced mine since it died and I already gave away all my aquarium supplies i accumulated for 8 years. Our fish lived a very long life. I took good care of it and if i have to be away for couple of days, i give it food nga time-release kind para continous ang feeding. Anyhow, you'll learn as you go along with your fish.

i guess its part of the learning process.. at the expense of the goldfish. i don't think overcrowding is the reason. 4 more died today..they become half in number i just the last 3 days.. i guess its those water plants. its somehow making the water cloudy even if newly changed water. i guess the water conditioner(aquatan) is reacting to the water plants.making the water toxic somehow. now that i take away the water plants too.only water and goldfish.everything seems to be back to normal again.

yeah, i do have that auto-flow gravel cleaner.but you do need to have lots of water to do the cleaning using that.

wow, ka hi tech ba diay sa imong feeding if your away..automatic man..

yupz, hopefully the remaining 7 live longer this time.

    thanks for all your inputs.

Hi Titanium, sorry i feel sad too daghan namatay sa imong isda i know how it feels. nah mao same here i started with decorations sa aquarium, nice stones, plants and the water got cloudy so i started removing those things and left me with just the fish and the aquarium and the sand. Wala gyud sulod akong aquarium isda ra. Well, you are trying your best naman. I hope naay mabilin. Ang cute pa naman sa imong mga isda and i can see they are already sort of big na and too many in one aquarium. I started with mine a lot smaller than that morag tadpole ra kagamay until 8 years after, pang pond size na gyud. I miss my Goldie but i dont want to start all over with having an aquarium its a lot of work bisan pa naay mga gadgets to make your job easier cleaning the aquarium still its a commitment since you get attached to your fish. I hope naay mo survive sa imong mga isda.

charge to experience. one died again today.the big black mole. leaving 6 healthy ones na jud. they used to be ok gibutang nako sa bowl sila 7 with aerator.they were all active and alive. from lunch to 6pm sila sa bowl. but my dad kept insisting place them all back to the aquarium as they are "overcrowded" daw. (they seemed to be ok sa bowl lang) so i did transfer all of them, that's when the big black mole began weakening again... i usually use the bowl as recovery area.all the weak ones i segregate and place there.they usually recover and i place them back to tha aquarium.i guess it was too soon for that blackmole to return to the aquarium..siggghhh..

naa koy na observe.i was amazed nga this morning that i barely saw any popp sa bottom sa aquarium.. usually man gud i see popo dayon sa bottom in just minutes pa lang cla gibutang sa aquarium.. so that would be my indicator diay if the water/environment is toxic to them.mag sige cla popo, dagko og taas pa jud.. kung ok ang water/environment..nigpis ilang popo..or rarely lang jud cla mo popo..

mao bah..sakto lagi advise sa pag search sa internet..the simpler the better. remove nalng jud all fancy decorations..

yupz! they're quite big na.mas cute diay imo kay tadpole size pa.

yah, everything back to normal again. the remaining goldfish are now more playful again

hi titanium, sorry natabunan na man diay ni imong posting about our fish exchanges. Anyhow, how about now? are the remaining ones surviving? yeah sometimes better just follow your instincts if you think they need to be put in a bowl or back in the aquarium. My goldfish had so many close calls too and she was like lying on one side na gyud then i panicked and transferred it back to the baldi and she seemed to recover that way too. Its really hard to pinpoint kung unsa gyud but basically trust na lang your observation and how they're moving around. Pretty much you can tell naman if they are bouncing back or not. By the way too, ayaw ibutang ang imong aquarium sa direct sunlight like by a window where the sun can shine through the aquarium. Put it in a somewhat dark shaded area away from direct sunlight. Its the water. It will get cloudy and will smell bad fast kung naa sa direct sun exposure ang aquarium. That was my observation too. Yes do your research sa internet you are going to learn a lot as it applies to your fish situation. And the decorations yeah dili needed. Hope you bought a small bottle of water conditioner though. My fish was so small when we got it but it got really huge all those years imagine it lasted 8 years. I dont want another fish right now. Ambot lang kay kung makasuroy gani ko ug pet store nah! i want to buy this and that - a bird i like too like a parakeet, then makakita ko ug mga isda morag kapaliton na sab ko so i dont go to pet stores, lol sige enjoy your fish and keep me posted oks?
