sir, unsay recipe ani? then dili hasul pag-prepare? na-intriga najud ko aning barf pero murag dugay xa i-prepare lage. pls help me out. though dili pilian akong dogs ug dogfood, baho man gud ang stool. but when i feed them with table food, ok2 ra ang smell. ganahan unta ko mutry ug BARF pero di ko kamao unsaon, how to prepare and pila measure sa food na i-feed sa dogs. thanks sir.

kung di nimo ni makaya ug prepare, better yet feed them dog food nlng...pero i can assure you of a much firmer and very minimal amount and smell of the stool kung barf. mas gnahan kog barf kay swak sa budget, unya healthy pa jd kau imo dogs...

my all meat recipe is:
rice
1 tblspn each: sawdust and ground pork
adidas sa manok
chicken heads
sliced fat sa pork (kay di mn mukaon mga tao dri ug tambok hehe)
meatbones if ever naa kung wala chicken necks
soy sauce
raw eggs

basically, you get what you pay for in your commercial dogfoods.
if you buy cheaper ones, you get cheaper ingredients...
likewise with expensive brands.

For me, it depends what breeds of dog do you have. Each breed has its own nutritional needs, be it working or show dog. There are a lot of things to consider. It would be impractical to feed all your medium to large PET dogs high premium dog food and supplements when in fact all they need is purely healthy diet, not necessarily expensive. It is very easy to say, "i feed my dogs with the most expensive kibbles in the market," but their dogs are toy dogs. For poor to average income earners like me, it doesn't apply because all my dogs are medium and large breeds. There are a lot of choices, not necessarily kibbles. You can choose alternatives like veggies and BARF. As experienced, they are way cheaper than high premium kibbles. Yes, it takes more of your time to prepare. But does it matter if you have the luxury of time to prepare them?

My alternatives:

Diet for WORKING and PET dogs on WEEKDAYS - Mix Canidae ALS and Holictic Recipe Puppy. The rationale is that I cannot afford to give them pure Canidae because it is quite expensive. Based on my personal research, there are ingredients in Holistic Recipe that not contained in Canidae ALS.

Diet for PET dogs on WEEKENDS - Every weekend is feast days for my pet dogs. BARF time. I simply copied some of the main ingredients of Orijen. They are available in the market. Brato kaayo! Palit ka isdang tuloy or tolingan, good na kaayo ang dogs. Chicken heads and backs. I dont give chicken adidas kay delikado ang intestines sa bones sa adidas na hait kaayo. BARF diet is toothbrush for dogs. Clean teeth and gums. I dont give them ground pork and saw dust. Reason is simple - you cannot find kibbles in the market that the main ingredient is pork. ^_^

FOR MY SHOW DOGS

We only have 2 SH show dogs which are now still in Manila campaigning. We give them Solid Gold Wolf Cub mixed with Pro Plan available. Solid Gold for the coat and Pro Plan for the muscles. On top of that, we give them K9 Showstopper to maintain everything they need for the shows.

@justise: sir ok ra diay tagaan og raw food ang mga iro sometimes?? like parehas imo gibuhat everyweekend. Dili maglain ilang tiyan ana? kay mura naman sad ka og nagilis og pagkaon niya. kay dba dapat kung mag change ka og food sa imong iro hinay-hinayan og ilis ang old to new??
