What modelling agency in cebu could you suggest I could sign up?
i think there is the marlon wafer modelling agency and the Models Association of Cebu.Originally Posted by krizette
I'm not that familiar with the marlon wafer, just heard that from a couple of model friends and some shows that they did..
but MAC is one respectable models org here in cebu.
i suggest that if you really want to enter into the modelling world that you join modelling search such as the MAZE model search or prolly join beauty contests, as the chance of getting discovered by respectable agencies is higher when you join those searches.
F fashion school, is a workshop for those who want to develop their ability and skills in modeling.. when you enrol or sign up for the workshop does not mean that you get modelling jobs asap or you are guaranteed of a modelling job offer.
OK, thanks for the info. Are they gay managers?
actually, i'm a manila model, i had a very bad experience with bayoot managers, they tend to do lots of hanky punky on the side.
How many modelling agencies are in Cebu?
Do they have websites?
Thanks
MAC is very good agency with a very good standing here in Cebu.
And Chicoy is a very responsible and respectable manager with years
of good credit.
We just did a two-day shoot last week with one of his models.
If you're interested I can help get your credentials to him.
Another agency which is fairly new (about a few years in the running)
but starting to pick up good credentials is Dexter's AD Models.
I agree with abortretryfail. Chicoy is probably the most responsible manager there is in Cebu. While he does have high standards in accepting models, you can certainly expect professionalism the separates MAC from the others.
As for modelling agencies here in Cebu:
1. M.A.C.
2. AD Models - designer Dexter Alazas
3. OZAR Models - designer Danny Booc
4. Wafer Models - Marlon Wafer
5. Sparkle Modelling Agency - Tony Iway
ok I will try chikoy, hope he is not GAY, I got phobia on gay agents
thanks for the info pnoize2k6
btw, any photographer who does TFP here in cebu?
Hate to tell you this but they're about all gay here But not to worry, Chicoy is really cool.Originally Posted by krizette

i dont think f is a modelling agency. its more like a school to enhance your skills as a model. you dont need to pay a modelling agency 12k just to get signed. not even one centavo.Originally Posted by aleyson
models are rare creatures. they are born with specific physical attributes that make them stand out. im talking high fashion. of course there are other departments in modelling like commercials, print ads and catalogues. but if your talking high fashion like runways, campaigns and edits, it is better to go directly to an agency and have them look at you. they are experts. they will honestly tell you if you have the x factor or not. if you have it, they will sign you and start booking you for jobs. simple.
you dont need to worry about the fashion world. you agent/booker will help you. they will teach how to create your signature walk. how to go about casting, fitting, photo shoots, and stuff. most supermodels never even knew they had the potential until some agent told them. most supermodels were walking the streets, shopping groceries, waiting for a cab, getting off a plane, peddling some products or just going about their daily routine, when they were 'discovered'.
about portfolio. you dont need to enroll in some class or something just to get an excellent and amazing portfolio. all you need is a GREAT photographer who will help you fill your portfolio with gorgeous pictures. simple.
i dont want to discourage people. i just want to be realistic. give them the real score. that modelling is not for everyone. it helps to know some insider stuff but its not essential. the only things necessary to become a model are height, body, and looks. if you have these you would already have been discovered by an agent.
@ abortretryfail: Hate to tell you this but they're about all gay here.
I dont deal wid gays, SORRY NO WAY,
“You know, one of the great misnomers in our society is the term `gay.’ That somebody who is involved in something that is leading to suicide, where the V.D. rate is 11 times that of others, which are almost driven and ashamed and fearful and confused and psychotic and all the others that we read about plaguing this part of our society. The term gay is the most serious misuse of the English language. They’re not gay, they’re very, very depressed and miserable.”
@ pnoize2k6: ok i will contact you thru flickr
Thanks guys
