First and foremost regarding the seating arrangement:

Yes, I would like it to have been the same as the 2nd one, that the tables are to be set up in a rectangular orientation. But I was we were allowed to use only half of the lobby. In fact, during the time of December, we werent given the permit to use the lobby at all because of the College of Engineering's dean prohibiting any activities in the lobby due to any noise pollution that may distract classes. I took my efforts, together with the Datalogics Society to acquire the space in the lobby. We went through a needle's eye just to get that permit for you guys.

And I would like to apologize to Luis if she may have offended you in some way. Some people are not that quite open minded as we might put it.

    Second, the amount spectators
This too I was surprised to have expect for this year. I was wondering why there was such a small number of students during that day. It came to my attention that other departments were having their "Dept. Weeks" as well and they had their own separate activities to attend too thus leaving us a smaller pool of spectators for the event.

Third, regarding the meeting and organization of stuff

The ones organizing the event were me, jason, and the president of the Datalogics Society of the CS Dept.

I left the task of the meeting to Jason, as I am also a working person and he is the one currently studying at USC. Some may have noticed the absence of blizzaga. He is also currently working and unable to assist me with organizing hte event. From MWFs, I work 7.30am to 6.30pm, and TTH 9.30-6.30. I even take time in between working hours to organize with sir jeremy and the Datalogics Society to make things work out. From the adjustment of the electricity, the acquisition of tables, to the listing of each of the participants, everything. Nothing in USC comes in or out without a permit. That's the reality with activities occurring inside the university, participants who are also alumni of the university are aware of that.

For the absence of Jason in the meeting, I talked to him and he was deeply sorry and ashamed of being not able to attend it on time. And we are deeply sorry for what happened. He had to attend a meeting in their residential area with matters regarding their water connection. He is the only one leaving alone in his house, and he lives in pit-os, a place having frequent water problems.

Regarding the spec sheets of your system not being printed or posted, we did that on purpose because a colleague of mine in the CS faculty would like his students to ask you personally of your systems, not just copying the specs on your computer.

And to boss Arch_fear, yes I posted a schedule of events for the day here on the thread per se to the failure of the supposed meeting.

Regarding the sponsorship, yes it was fineupgrades that was prevalent there, it was from them were we got the funds for yours shirts, lunch, and snacks. No I didn't want to be bias to andz or the sir Oli for that matter, but the fact is the guys from FU have been the major sponsor for the event this past three years. If you wanted to have me plugged CEBU or any org and establishment as of that matter, you could have approached me beforehand so that giving of notice would have been executed.

As for the tables, I was pretty pissed because even after a year (referring to last years event), the university has failed to even replace their old tables with new ones. I am referring to tables belonging to the "University Properties and Materials Dept." From a total of 15 long tables from 2010 and prior, they are left with 3-5 long tables. Just a disappointment to me and the Datalogics Society. They have the funds to replace these tables, only they have not. The new tables were from the CS dept. and was glad to have acquired them, but these tables could only accommodate systems of length not greater than 2.5". That's why the guys with the TVs had to occupy the tables at the back.

As for the LAN connection, the router was of mine, and that its my fault why we were not able to establish any network connection. Yes, i forgot the password, it was a spare router that I had at home. I am honestly not very good at networking, this is my kryptonite. The router was working the night prior to the event since I was able to connect it at home. I am currently inspecting what happened to it and why. A friend told me that the DHCP feature might be faulty and that cause the router to have problems assigning dynamic IPs to each system. He also told me that we could have set the connections to use static IPs instead if such scenarios should happen.

I am just glad that non of your rigs got damaged nor did anyone lose anything during the course of the event and honest enough to say that this was not one of the events I've organized the was best executed. I have another event, a symposium, that also required my supervision. I hope you understand that its not easy for my part as well. Please do post your concerns for the improvement of the event but please do it in a diplomatic manner. Its not easy for my part as well to organize the lot while I live a "dual-job" life. Thank you guys and have a good day.

Boss Pyuro... Your effort was most appreciated... but you can't do it alone especially that you are a busy person. I was mostly referring to the other organizer nga may lang sa sugod sa registration kusog kaayo mo assert ug magsaba2x only to fade in the end... Nahulog hinuon nagpinamay ra... It could have been a success if it were a collective effort among all the organizers plus the delegation of work to the willing and more than able participants like our fellow big guys here who have great passion for these things... This is based on my past experience as a former Area Development Supervisor of Unilever Phils.,for the Visayas, before I had decided to become a teacher and a computer enthusiast. I used to held concerts and events... major and small... to launch new products and promotions and foresee that all my goals are set, leaving no relevant thing unconsidered beforehand to serve as the blueprint of success, and should be moving as planned during the event, and should be achieved until the conclusion of the event. And that is a total pain in the ass.. I couldn't have done it if I didn't delegate as much work to as many people as needed to lighten the workload. You'll be amazed to see those people work so willingly with burst of responsibility in their eyes knowing they will be part of a certain failure or success...

About the banner... Major Sponsor's LOGO could be placed the biggest and at the center of the banner... depende sa aesthetics sa imong style... ALONGSIDE the other sponsors with their respective logos and names below...CREDIT must be given to where credit is DUE... if you ask me, that is not even business... we call it self-worth and every human being on this planet need this as a socio-emotional need... If I had contributed something, I don't want to tell others to recognize me by approaching them. I'd just be hoping that they would recognize it somehow... and believe me... I would love for them to do something about it... on their own.

We do not bring people to us... we bring ourselves to them to show what we can do and prove our worth. Then in time, they will bring their selves to us... And that my friend, is business... and this matters to our sponsors... major or not... they fall under the same category.

@Archfear, I well aware sir of stuff to put on the banners. And yes it was FU who sponsored and catered the financial needs of the event as a whole. I well aware that some of the participants have their own business establishments as well. But FineUpgrades was our only external sponsor here, an no other, so please don't think we are being bias with the participants. Hope we are clear on this matter, sir.

How the comments be viewed as constructive is on the readers' end... most especially to the one it was directed to. There is a very thin line between being honestly tactful and senseless criticism... Acceptance is very manly and pride can be very blinding. Peace ya'll~!!! wahehehehe...
