Guyz I need help. Im new to web development. I have an asp.net project and i need to host it in a server with windows xp installed as OS. Can someone please give me step by step process from deploying the project to putting it on the iis server. Tutorials on the net are for IIS version 7.

Unsai problema wala kai IIS sa windows XP noh? haha...
Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs -> Add Remove Windows Component (dili ko sure bsta murag ingn ani), check IIS.

but before that, dapat naa ka Windows XP Professional or higher pa nga edition inserted sa imo CD/DVD rom kay mangita man na sya sa installer.

no i already have the iis installed mga master...iis 5.1....i dont know how to deploy the project sa iis

Option 1: Creat a Website
Option 2: Creat a virtual directory under Default Website (Default Website uses port 80)

AFAIK, IIS 7 is not available in XP. It is intended for later Windows OS such as Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 and etc. Originally Posted by Deathnote

I'm not sure if there is a workaround to install it as well.

Ok problem solve...i already have the website up and running...only problem is that sometimes we can access it, sometimes we cant...
