A source close to Dell has disclosed the graphics options that will be available with Dell's yet to be launched M18x R2 under its Alienware branding. This laptop will sport an 18.4-inch display and feature one of Intel's upcoming Ivy Bridge CPUs. It will be available in either black or red and will come crammed to the hilt with an array of features and optional extras such as Wireless HD (WiHD).
In terms of GPU options, the M18X R2 can be had with dual Radeon HD 7970M's in Crossfire, or if NVIDIA's offerings are preferred, you can opt for two GeForce GTX 675M's (SLI) or the slightly lower spec'd GTX 660M (it is unconfirmed at this time as to whether or not the 660M will be available in an SLI configuration or just as a single card).We'll keep you posted on the upcoming Alienware refreshment of gaming notebooks as more info comes to light.Source: Dell-lab
