Got the chance to test 2 store units for ~1Hr and I am impressed by the over all package of the Tab7.7 but I do see some manufacturing inconsistencies on the screen which is common but not normal to the SAMOLED Plus line.

I wont discuss the specifics anymore because all of this is pretty subjective to the user but my advise would be dont settle for 'its not visible in normal usage'.

One thing I would say is that the mDINE sharpening level on the Tab7.7 is way to aggressive in certain images that it makes it look bad.

Simulated example on how the sharpening is on the Tab 7.7, it doesnt make all images look bad just a few dozen of my samples )



EDIT:

A friend came over with his tab7.7 ( despite the earthquakes, lol ) and the colors on his tab are pretty good.. no over saturated skin tones and whites are very bright, 100% brightness on my note is like 75% on his.. so its a luck of the draw.

ei guys, pewede mu.apil sa conversation? where na dapit ang cmk? my sister is goin to hk next week.. i'm not sure if mas.barato ba ang 7.7 there or here... so i'm not sure pa if where ko mu.buy...a friend told me nga masmahal daw sa hk... dugay2 napud ko naghuwat ani nga tab... a little dismayed upon hearing about the screen issues you guys mentioned... big deal au ang screen thing?

CMK is in manila, naa naman sa cebu ang Tab7.7
Check lang nig palit nimo sa unit, the screen issues are mostly subjective to the user. Gusto lang ko flawless akong ma kuha para maka enjoy gyud nakog maayo.

yah, agreed, mas ma.enjoy gyud if you know nga flawless imu device. i've been doing some reading na pud... some people complain about a yellowish tinting on parts of the screen. this is a different issue as you guys were talking about noh?

its one of those things nga when you notice it, dili na nimo ma.ignore.. so ya, better if you get a unit with none of these issues.

which store did you say had a darkroom for testing?
