If u have sink your gmail account in your mobile ph then u can retrieve the pattern on the ph.or if wala.then you need to do the hard reset on the ph.refer your manual sa hard reset..

Hard reset gani, kanang naa kay buttons i-press kay na lock man kaha.

Master reset man na imong pasabot nga muadto sa settings which you can't do kay lock man ang phone.

To fix it, just then again remove the battery out, then put it back again. Don't power it ON yet, just press and hold the Volume Up, Center button and Power button at the same time. A menu will then appear that let choose with an option. Just use the volume button to toggle and select the wipe data/factory reset, that will then reset your Galaxy Y to it's factory default settings.
