Really hard to lower the prices of DVDs and Blu-ray discs due to many economic factors. A good amount of Hollywood movie DVDs are imported from abroad.

But look at the DVDs of Pinoy movies...they are not as expensive as most new foreign film DVDs BUT they take too long to be discounted. Regal Films, Star Cinema and Viva have DVDs that remain pricey for most Pinoys for at least two years.
