A forum member from Guru3D has leaked the first press pictures of a Radeon HD 7950 - this one being Sapphire's version.
Since the Radeon HD 7950 is a fully custom part with no reference design, we expect to see significant product differentiation across various AIBs. Sapphire's take on the HD 7950 features a blue PCB with the same cooler from Sapphire's HD 6970 Dual Fan Edition, with two 90mm fans and a hefty 5 heatpipe cooler. The PCB is as long as HD 7970's reference PCB, while the cooler is obviously quite a bit thicker - occupying 3 slots. The product is named "Sapphire HD7950 3G GDDR5 PCI-E HDMI/DVI-I/DUAL MINI DP OC VERSION", featuring 3GB GDDR5 with the same standard output configuration as the HD 7970 reference design - 1xDVI, 1xHDMI, 2xminiDP. Notably, this particular version is overclocked, with a core clock of 900 MHz. HD 7950 is based on the Tahiti chip with 4 CUs disabled, for a final count of 1792 SP. The GDDR5 memory is clocked at 5 GHz. The various different HD 7950s are reported to release on January 31st. Source: Guru3D via TechPowerUp
