Windows Keep Restarting

Specs:
Proc: P4 2.533 GHz
Mobo: Asus P4V8X-MX
RAM: 2 x 1Gb GeiL DDR
GPU: Inno3D GeForce 6600 AGP
OS: Windows XP

Problem:
So far my Windows keeps on restarting right before the login screen. This happend right after I try installing the drivers for the GPU. I can't even finish the installation while in normal mode. So I tried installing it under safe mode. I got it to finish the installation but when I restart it'll just keep on restarting when it gets to the login screen.

I've already tried reinstalling a fresh copy of OS and flashed the mobo with a new BIOS. But I still can't make it work...

Could it be that the mobo and the GPU are incompatible?

Safe mode balik, uninstall the drivers... see if you can work your way back to normal boot without the GPU drivers installed... kung musud gani, download fresh drivers off the net, see if that works.

memtest, never hurts to run it.... akong geil crapped on me... caused a lot of headaches... pag tangtang nako....eureka!

Tried installing and uninstalling it both in safe mode and normal mode... Still can't get it to work. Anyways, I'm trying the mem test using the Linux system right now.

bro, try taking out both your memory modules from the slot ug use a soft eraser ug clean the contact points on both sides. wipe with a soft cloth after para matangtang ang mga takuling.

if you still get the same symptoms, try using a different video card.

if you used a different video card ug mao ra gihapon, mobo na nimo daot bro. happened to me sa akong P4 1.7GHz using an older Asus model mobo. Cge lang gyud restart anytime it wants to. Tried all kinds of stuff, in the end pag change mobo, hallelujah! Solve akong problem!

i've encountered this problem before, tingali sa imo nang Processor Overheating, ablihi daw imo CPU Tower, while turning it On,

Mo kalit ra baya nag, restart basta mo overheat ang processor

maayo unta kung license imo g install nga OS, para segurado

bro try removing network cards/ modem cards then restart it..

basin sa module sa memory nimo sad bro.

Will try the eraser thing tonight. As for the GPU, there might be a problem cause I don't have any spare right here.

So far the temp readings are within 34-47 degrees. I think these temps are in the acceptable range.

All of the NICs are built-in on the mobo. Though I've remove all LAN cables from the system. Still doesn't work though.

naka sulay napod ko ani last month pero 2 year na nako to pina ngita solusyon....what i did is ge butangan nako thermal paste ang cpu..pero ge limpyohan nako daan bago ge butangan...din ako ge sulayan og 8hrs ga andar...God's grace okay na gyud...
