For me, it's always better if you take photos of children at their level instead of looking down at them. It's better if we could see what she's looking at para di putol ang story. Keep on shooting!

Kon di mo sure kon portrait, pagresearch mo, ayaw pag-agad kon makapasar ba sa definition sa usa ka tawo.

I like the expression of her face. I dont see anything bad in this photo except for the multiple borders and text.... very distracting.

There is a shortage of critique threads. General portraits, yes, but preferably taken with creativity... not snapshots Also pictures taken at events are highly discouraged like 5,7, and 10.

For me there are only 2 kinds of portraits... the good and bad.

Off topic: I think there are too many threads touching on the same or similar subject. Then again portraiture is such a large genre and is probably the reason why there are different types of portraits here. The question is, is this thread about portraits in general? Do any of these fit the bill?

OT: Kita pud ko aning Mam Ayahay last Sunday with a foreigner.

1. Ipa-relax lang iyang shoulders kay stiff ra kay iyang position, mura syag nakuyawan nga gipicturan. Unsa man nang mga shadows sa daplin-daplin... wa natarong og edit?

2. kusog ra ang hayag ang niigo sa iyang bukton. akong mata padung didto deretso.

The editing makes more harm in this picture than good...

I like how the darkness diagonally divides the picture. I dont like smoking but this is a really good portrait. It can have many interpretations. It could be interpreted that smoking brings you to the dark side... but thats just me. Overall, the portrait is badass.

i really dont like the light spill effect on your pictures. it makes it look so cheap.

1. I suggest you crop off the right hand, it is so random, we cant even see it connected to her body. If she is holding on to something, we cant see it and hav no idea what it is, so it's better if it's not in the picture also.

2. I like her the wind effect on her face here and the lighting. I dont like that her hands are cut off in the joints...
