of all sa mga ni suggest diri, kinsa ang nanunga kato naa meeting with the Cebu Photo Alliance and SFI? nangatend unta mo para masulti na ninyo inyong mga suhestiyon didto... mura ra mo nagsuwat og letter then wala ninyo gipadala... useless kay dili mabasa sa inyong padal-an... it is easy to say/write 'they would have done this, done that' pero in reality lisod na siya buhaton... tanan tao nga nisalmot sa Sinulog naa gyud reklamo... the crowd, contingent, organizers, photographers, bystanders, establishments, i think even employees sa SFI naa sad reklamo... ang pangutana nalingaw mo or wala? kung nalingaw mo then good for you... kung wala better luck next sinulog and then find a location na walay photogs para walay mo block sa inyong view or sa inyong mga shots... sa kataas sa route wala nalang sad gyud mo mangita og lain lugar? and besides kun ganahan gyud mo og clear view sa performance sa mga contingent sulod nalang mo sa abellana og lingkod mo sa taas(ayaw lang sa ubos kay naa man guihapon mga photog muali sa inyong view didto labi na katong naay dala nga tag-as kaayong hagdan) didto sure ko makakita gyud mo sa tanan performance...

last year kay usa sad ko sa mga 'reklamador' og 'daghang suhestiyon' nga tao, pero na realize nako nga walay mahimo akong mga reklamo, so akong gibuhat karon is gi enjoy nalang nako ang moment and sometimes abuse ang pribilihiyo nga apil sa atong I.D/gibayaran... less stress pa...

I agree with fafa szichri. Hilas! is the exact word. hehehe It is a Photo "Contest". 1-5 shots then go away to give way to other photogs. LOL "You want to capture every moment's if possible to have a better/unique shots among the rest" it's a competition, be competitive. Kanya-kanyang diskarte rana and it is up to the officials to implement the rules.

I am a Canon shooter, but i don't want to be a walking advertisment. Wala ko mag suot ug Canon shirt nga ilang gi provide ga long-sleeve hinuon ko, naa bay ni badlong? wala! Wala nakoy (nawagtang)ID pagka alas tres naa bay ni badlong nako nga wala koy id? wala?

Wala siguro nato ang problema kundi sa nag implement sa rules. Balik-balik nalang ni nga reklamo kada tuig wala ni kahumanan. So live with it, enjoy the competition and be a happy camper at the end of the day.

Sir, these are recurring problems the SFI should have addressed long, long before. For all we know, most concerned fotogs just got tired of attending open fora and voicing out their suggestions without results. An exercise in futility, to wit.

One thing though Pres. Kennedy addressed Americans by saying "ask what you can do for your country and not what your country can do for you." It's about time fotogs (with resolve) organize among themselves and took it on their own to adjust and leave out SFI - which is just a political entity of the city government disguised as an NGO.

We were hoping that, this time around, the CPA, as an umbrella organization, could have a lot more influence in negotiating with SFI compared to individual clubs alone. Unfortunately, around september na na-establish ang alliance and by then too late na for SFI to implement some of the suggestions. I remember during sa first round of talks there were discussions regarding putting up 11 control points for photogs nga didto ra sila pwede mopwesto and shoot (like sa masskara festival sa bacolod). But I guess at that stage di na makaya sa resources and time sa SFI to implement that.

Sa karon nga sinulog nagdistribute sleeve patches ang CPA para dali sila ma-identify. Since nindot man ang feedback about the behavior of the photogs of member clubs, we are hoping that this would send a message to SFI that CPA can police its own ranks plus the advantage of having to negotiate with only one body to represent the majority of photogs.

I myself am putting aside all my frustrations and negative sentiments regarding the recent sinulog. Move on na ta, let's pick up the lessons here and stand united as one para sa negotiations sa next sinulog. Hinaot unta daghan pa clubs mo join sa CPA.
