I don't see why the principle of liberty is only applicable to one country and not to the other... The freedom enjoyed by 18-19th century america spread through out the world, including our country. They have been engaging in lassaiz faire economy for two hundred years and if not for a human aberration of WW 1 and WW 2, they would have stayed that way... instead, they resorted to an experiment of mixed socio-capitalistic system...and they suffered great lose of wealth by the devaluation of their currency, lose of freedom, violation of private property, and liberty. Do you know that any american citizen can be indefinitely imprisoned without seeing a day in court based solely on a hunch that that citizen is a commting a crime of some sort?

Liberty is good for man, regardless of creed, class, religion, or race...

    - your last example touches on another issue, employment. Government has enacted the most anti poor legislation of all. Minimum wage. Prior to its legislation, illiterate people can get any job rather quickly than today. There are jobs that don't require a higher education level, and they could fill that post temporarily or permanently depending on their own choice. But now, there is a basic standard of wage, in effect, businesses will employ the best employee out there to fill even those jobs that don't require higher education just to maximize the payment of the minimum wage. Minimum wage and SSS have destroyed the incentive of employing more people, instead of being able to employ 10, the business will only employ 5.

Another effect is that it created a huge entry barrier for ordinary people to engage in a legal business. Start-ups often fail because they fail to comply with government regulations. They resort to underground market. Employees will think a lot before starting their own business as they will realize the huge barrier government has placed before them, almost making sure, they will remain as employees for the rest of their lives.
    angay, diay walay minimum wage.
angay nga naay level or bracket sa wage depende sa imong skill or education...or i-breakdown pa gyud ang minimum wage.
say, kay naa na man ta K-12...starting salary or "minimum wages" should be:
    - below junior level, 100-150
    - junior high level, 150 to 200
    - senior high level, 200 to 250
    - senior high graduate, 250 to 300
    - college level, 300 to 350
    - college graduates, 350-500
    - professional, 500-650
    - skilled professional, 650 to sky is the limit.

moarang-arang na kaha tingali ta, if mapatuman ang ingon ani nga structure sa salary?

murag survival of the fittest ang labas ani...

IMO it's the people.... JFK said "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"

kung mo gawas mo ask sa mga tao nganu Philippines is like this most of them will say kay kurakot man gud ang goberno.. then if imu i.pangutana unsa man imu gi buhat para mo tabang sa Pinas? most of them will can't answer..

We can take South Korea as an example it only took them 50 years to level up.. kita intawn.......

So ask ourselves what we can do for our country and our fellow countrymen?

kugihan man unta daw ang mga pinoy.
maybe we don't know what we really need to do to help our country since all we know is to vote for saintly names and trust our country and money to them... then whine and impeach if found incompetent.

From the start since colonial period until now... The country's name itself is not the real awareness of its "citizens and inhabitants."
So it affects one's sub-consciousness towards things and other aspects... Just like a child which was being label as such, in due time when it became an adult it will lived accordingly as being label when it was a child back then...

ang issue is not liberty kundili ang effectivity sa free market economy without government intervention nga lisod buhaton sa pilipinas kay ang gap sa datu ug pobre pwerting dakoa. now kung mag start ta ana, naa bay igong purchasing power ug capital ang mga pobre.?. lets be realistic, adto ra gud ug squatter ug situasyon sa probinsya ug tan-awa ang ilahang situasyon, maka compete ba na sila ni Lucio Tan, henry sy, conjuanco sa negosyo ug agriculture nga dili ma dominate ug dili mapiit ang presyo sa merkado. aside from that ang kinabag-ang masa halos mamumuo or trabahante lang sa ilang firm ug negosyo. so kung tagaan nato full autonomy mahulog ra ang dagkong negosyo ang mabulahan, sama ra sad na nga ang sweldo mapiit ug ma abusaran kay lagi kasagaran sa masa puros trabahante and ang negosyo gi dominate sa dagkong capitalista. sige, reklamo sa negosyante kay ugma kulob imo kaldero.

fyi ang imo settings dili america sir. tan -awa ang situasyon sa pilipinas mismo sir ug diha ta mag base..di ba ang objective individualism nga prinsipyo nag base sa particular society with its current situation para maka create ug model (deduction method). now i apply sad na sa pilipinas, mogawas ba nga pinaka angayang model lassaiz faire economy? I believe pwede gamay however ang government naay dapat gamay'ng role..

again dili ni issue sa liberty only kundili economic model nga gikan or resulta sa liberty nga free market economy. liberty per se wala nag pasabot nga absolute ug libertarianism ra ang fit ana. ang liberty ba nag introduce ra ug usa ka ideal ug system? ang liberty nanginahanglan sad nag social justice ug fairness, kinsa may mopatuman ana bisan kinsa lang ba kanato?

libertarianism is ok pero nature sad sa tawo nga makiglambigit ug grupo to create society aron easy ang adaptation (see bayanihan) at the same time realizing that we have also individuaslitic needs. Humans are both individualistic and a social animal. kini imo model is closely related sa philosophy ni Ayn rand nga objectivism/individualism, pero kung tan-awon sa reality dili mo work, kay inevitable ang conflict of interest bisan pa sa rational society. dungagan pa sa philippine settings nga ang distribution sa wealth ug oppurtunity dili equal.
