From a purely basketball perspective the best teams for Macmac from the start would have been FEU and DLSU. Both are very heavy guard oriented systems with great support from alumni and fans. True there are players in front of you, but naa man na in any team (DLSU, FEU, Ateneo, etc).

This is the UAAP. Players graduate or lose eligibility. 2 years is a short time to learn a system before you have another 3 to showcase your skills. If you are truly gifted you should not be scared of taking the spot of the guy in front of you.

If he wanted to become a superstar asap he could have gone to UP and still get good education (wala ra "support").

    * as a side note look at Kiefer Ravena's first game.... if he continued to play that way Macmac would have gotten time. Also Kiefer was played at the SG spot in the Adamson game (his natural position). It seems Coach Norman was experimenting by putting Ravena at PG, macMac's spot, during the FilOil.

(wrong info ka na nman bb2. di siguro ka player mao puro ka negative. according to my source macmac is doing well in DLSU his practicing in the team A and playing for the team B. and macmac will play Father Martin's this august. the coach and coaching staff of DLSU is very impressed by the 17 years old. so lets all pray for his success and not saying negative things about the kid. siguru suya lang ka. for me its a right move.)

Don't confuse issues. i have answered you in the other thread. I have said the leaving of Ateneo was wrong for reasons not just bball. A person has life outside basketball.

I continue to wish Macmac success as a player. Please read throughout not just pick and choose replies. I have repeatedly wished him well in his career but the move to leave Ateneo is an issue in itself.

He may be practicing with DLSU Team A, but he is not on Team A otherwise he would be on the UAAP roster. Macmac was practicing with Ateneo Team A even last year as a HS senior that did not mean he was on Team A. he only made Team A when he was in the official line-ups for FilOil and FMC.

Yes I guess suya ko. I wish Macmac would have shown more class as a person not just as a basketball player. It would have been great to praise him not just for his bball abilities but as a person as well.

    It happens.

Buenafe lost a fan in me for whatever does come out. I was never a fan of Rabeh because he acts like a brat. I am not a blind Ateneo fan.

Good move na lang...at least he is now in a school that is also competitive and I am sure he will give some Team A guys a hard time in practice.

Good na lang kay they made the decision dayon kaysa kung naglanganlangan pa sila basin masayang ra ang bata. I just hope though that dili dayun sila mo give up. Basin unya ug wa na say playing time sa La Salle, molayas na sad. Kung playing time ra diay ang gusto sus pwede man mag USP, CIT, Don Bosco Sa UAAP di gyud lalim makakuha ug daghan playing time specially a freshman PG. Ikaw guy magtimon sa opensa, nya kung wa pa ka kabalo sa sistema ug wa kaila sa dinuwaan sa kauban dili gyud ka maepektibo.

What better way to rub salt in the wounds of those who supported you the past 3 years right? Take advantage of their money and their training, join the rivals, then rub it in

Looking for an instant STARDOM?? he plays well but not that talented..many guards in UAAP or NCAA are bigger and smarter than him.. he should improve his shooting...Wrong move.

Junior phenom Jeron Teng plays for Archers
    source: Olmin Leyba | philstar.com

Jeron Teng, the scoring machine from Xavier who’s on top of the wish list of a number of college teams, will be donning the green jersey for the De La Salle University next season.

“Jeron Teng will play for DLSU,” his elder brother Jeric announced on his Twitter account yesterday.

DLSU’s director for sports development and UAAP Board representative Edwin Reyes confirmed to The STAR the recruitment of the 6-foot-1 Teng, who made a record by exploding for 104 points in a game against Grace Christian HS in the Tiong Lian League last year.

“It’s true,” Reyes said of Teng’s entry to DLSU, a big boost for their campaign for redemption after missing the UAAP Final Four twice in the last three seasons.

“Well, we still need to work on building a team. It’s a good start but we still have a long way to go before we can safely be in the championships,” said Reyes.

The Archers, under a new coach in Gee Abanilla, beat some other schools in tapping Teng. Also reportedly wooing the son of former PBA player Alvin are Ateneo, National U and even Jeric’s alma mater, University of Santo Tomas.

Jeric said he looks forward to meeting his kid brother on the opposing end.

“It would be weird but a challenge playing against @jeronteng next season of UAAP. have to work hard this offseason!” he twitted.

Before going to the Taft campus, Jeron will spearhead the Xavier Stallions’ drive for five in the Metro Manila Tiong Lian basketball tournament this month. He recently powered the Stallions to the junior title of the Fr. Martin Division II Cup, firing 43 markers in their 68-67 overtime win over Arellano.
