This is Norman from First Metro Securities (First Metro Investors Office-Cebu), we are planning on holding a seminar in Cebu some time mid-February on the Philippne stock market in general. We need your help on choosing specific topics such as but not limited to; technical analysis, fundamental analysis, investment outlook, etc. If you have any suggestions please reply to this thread and we'll try our best to accommodate your requests for our next seminar some time this February. Hi, Norms. I would like to suggest the PSEi and the blue-chips listed: What companies are included, how they are chosen, how the index points are calculated, how it is a key indicator of the performance of the Philippine stock market in general.

Norms, this is Makoy. My suggestion would be starting from scratch of what the stock market and PSE is with a little more emphasis on technical and fundamental analysis and market sentiment. It's something like this:

*Brief history of the stock market and PSE, what it does, and what good does it give to the listed companies and the investors/traders.
*A little in depth discussion about technical analysis and fundamental analysis. I think more emphasis must be given to this one
*Determining good market sentiment
*Stock picks for 2012 (first Q, first half, and for the whole year)

I think that won't be too basic for experienced traders/investors and too advanced for those who are starting out.
