wel for some its sound like that "burning hard earned money" but who are we to lecture them how to spend their hard earn money, i am much in favor of banning selling of fire arms... Maybe regulate selling firecrackers to minors.

im just expressing my opinion over firecrackers. and its none of my business on how they spend their money. but i also dont like to hear people complaining that they got no money or ask financial help but could buy thousands worth of firecrackers during christmas and new year.

Magkatawa ko sa ubang comments diri. Some know what they're talking about, some dont.

There are different comments here like:
    -Agreeing on a total ban.
-Those who justify that firecrackers are fine and its the loose firearms that are at fault even though loose firearms only account for a small percentage of the injuries or fatalities.
-Those who think more powerful explosives need to be banned. Seriously, they are already banned, how will you ban something that is banned already?
-Those who think it is impossible to ban and just forget about it because, its already our tradition?
-Those who think the government can regulate and enforce.
-Those who fail to realize that total ban does not mean closure of smaller businesses. Fireworks need to be operated and sold only by authorized people (e.g.: government or pyrotechnic companies)

I am in Australia right now for a trip and I tell you, I don't miss the sound of the firecrackers, even the fireworks show.

For safety and cost savings, this is way better. Might as well divert firecrackers/fireworks to something educational. Check this blog https://www.istorya.net/forums/blogs/...-rocketry.html

Firecracking is a guilty pleasure for some as well as those who cannot set their financial priorities straight.

Of course, firecracker makers could do nothing but enjoy being greedy.
