Paminaw Taking Back Sunday ug Thursday nga CD's dBa pareha Quality sa Urbandub. Mao na gitawag ug "indie" Bai....

INDIE means independent... it doesn't refer to the sound.. at first anyways. .. it refers to how the record was released (independently without any major label backing them up). Since indie bands lacks the budget to fund a record, the result is the lo-fi quality sound... thus characterizes the total indie sound.

Taking Back Sunday and Thursday are merely trying to preserve their "indie" sound by purposely making their record "LO-FI".. but are they still indie?? NO...! Urbandub's sound has many factors ug nganong ingon ana ang sound quality.. (Equipment, Engineering and Know-How, Budget, etc...) Pero they're indie.

i don't think you can compare the sound/recording quality of TBS and thursday sa urbandub... (i have all the albums sa kaning na mention na mga artist) layo ra kaayo quality wise... mas nindot ang TBS and thursday pero di ta ka blame kay mas advance and tech sa abroad and mas well trained ila mga sound engrs.... they (tbs, thursday) might have purposely made their record lo-fi but ang urban dub wala choice kay lo-fi ra ang available diri sa cebu.

i dunno man but their album is a bit raw... i have to agree with ezra on this one... not so sure bout TBS but the thursday album for me is a bit raw... maybe they want it that way... not because they want to be "indie" but that is how they want their record to be... one thing i noticed with american bands they're not big into labels... i think they don't even care. they're more on the sound that they make...

and on britney: i think she doesn't have a choice... she's even too stupid to write her own songs and melody.

Hey, I know what "indie" means man. You don't have to sound like you are talking to someone who doesn't know what he is talking about OK. Ingana ila sound kay independently realesed ila record meaning personally funded mao low-fi. I don't think dili ka afford ang urbandub but sakto mo tanan wala man lain dri sa Cebu.

But all in all nindot gHapon ilang mga kanta. Mao ra na bottom line. Dili na kinahanglan pada-ko-on pa.... Peace Out..

Ni ingon man gud ka nga "MA NAY GI TAWAG UG INDIE BAI" pero Talking Back Sunday and Thursday are not indie bands.. both bands are signed under VICTORY RECORDS (which is a decent sized label) ...

To keep the band's integrity.. and their fanbase.. YES, they purposely make their sound LO-FI.... check The Strokes, Hives, bla bla bla bla.. they're signed under a big-ass label yet they sound like they were recorded with a 4 track reel-to-reel Tape. You think they don't have the funds to pay for all the high end stuff?? To have their product mastered with the best equipments and the best producers and engineers?

That still is pathetic. They're remaining lo-fi to satisfy fans... Those bands must really suck. They've compromised the quality of their music in return for the "coolness" it brings which attracts their fans.

It's the sound that they wanted to keep.... a lot of people lose their respect to a certain band if they change their sound.. they tend to call these bands "SELL OUTS"
