this is protectionism. lahi jud pag ikaw ang naa sa taas no?! the failure of their gov't pasangilan ang lain nasod.. take the "anti-dumping law" that the US has against china, did it do them any good? i believe not, nibalhin lang ang mga businessmen sa laing countries like Vietnam & malaysia..then karon kani nasad? hahaha, i wonder asa kaha mobalhin ang mga CC jobs after sa pinas? nga kung english lang or adoptability kita may pinaka maayo ani sa Asia (wa pay labot ang low-cost/dirt cheap salary compared sa US counterparts).. basin africa nasad sila? hehehe

OT: agree jud ko ani bai. we have to encourage our local businessmen to invest in the philippines. ang problema kay ang mga SOP man gud. wa pay labot ang sangkatutak nga mga laws that are very much advanced para sa third world country. im not saying bati ang mga balaod nga nabuhat, but cguro dapat ilahang tagaan ang mga local investors og chance tawn nga molambo.

If I am a call center agent right now...I will probably take heed of this warning sign.. acclimatize myself again to both working daytime and a smaller pay...hehehe..

an problema ani bai kay ang lifestyle. if call center ka nagsugod og work & nasanay naka sa medyo hayahay nga sweldo, lisod jud ibalhin. my younger bro for example, ni quit sya sa CC kay para balik sa accounting. but wa nagdugay kay gamay daw sweldo.lisod jud ibalhin unless dako sweldo imo balhinan. samot if CC sa imo experience. let's just hope for the best.

Mao gani I used the word "acclimatize".. It is a word used for transition in climates....Start transitioning kung naanad ka sa dako nga sweldo, start living (even now agent pa) as if your salary is of minimum wage... Para worst comes to worst di naka manibago..

Anyway..that's my subjective opinion if I am an agent...

local business will feel more secure in investing on their own backyard if there is ample encouragement and leg room provided by the government. but other than that, the government should take the initiative to invest public funds into jobs and/or infrastructure that would create/promote more jobs.

That is not the point..You look at the matter at its face value... the threat of losing Call Centers is possible (may not be probable)..at least you make plan B..that is what we call "resiliency" igsoon.. kung di ka gusto maadto imo mga anak sa public schools..Then buy the highest educational plan that you could afford while you are still earning a good income at least if these things happen it will not come as a surprise..
