tagae ug opportunities ang nga tao. Did you know the Philippines has one of the largest pools of degree holders and skilled workers, pero daghan gihapon ug unemployed? Why do you think atong mga professionals maninkamot makagawas? We have a serious lack of opportunity here in this country. And also enforce the mandates. Pila raman sad ang percentage sa OFW's out of the entire population man sad? mga 8-10 million OFWs out of a work eligible population of 56 million , and most of them are non-professionals--not because of a shortage of Filipino professionals but because host countries will hire local professionals in their countries first. We are already heavily dependent on OFW remittances. Going abroad is already a big sacrifice na gud. So di sad ta ka-assume nga lazy ang ethic sa Filipino, considering a lot would voluntarily go out of their comfort zones to earn. Complacency and lack of perseverance is indeed a factor, but lack of incentives and opportunity is primary. Unsaon man pag-sikap sa usa ka tao if lisud sa maka-kita ug trabaho? People will work for bare minimum na gud.

dapat raman gani supplementary ang remittance sa atong economy. topped pajud that about 19% of the labor force is underemployed--which is really big.

It's okay, understood. Ako rasad ning opinyon.

lisud sad oi, especially if ang earning nimu barely enough ra para sa sustenance and if naa, utilities. Plus living in those areas na daan, prone jud ug mga sakit--and ang health care sa Pilipinas, affordable by global standards, pero sa mga kabus intawn dili jud. So they're practically unable to elevate themselves because what little they earn goes directly to their stomachs. But there are exemptions pud ha, but under ideal circumstances na jud--real success stories, like rags to riches. Mao nah, we wouldn't be able to fault them sad.
