    Default .Net Programmer Wanna Be

Good Day Istoryans...I'm an IT graduate..but i didn't practice what I learned after I graduated. I was attracted to the high starting salary that call centers offer..Anyway to make the long story short, napul an nako aning call center, taya na kau akong utok,.hehe..now my question is, what are the basic things that I should know to be a .net programmer?? I'm practicing a lot of vb.net at the moment..sql and html as well...i'm planning to venture into asp.net soon after i'm confident with my VB..any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

you can start with the basics.. Arrays, functions, subs. I haven't tried ASP for awhile, but you're right mas dali ang ASP if kibaw ka ug .net.. most of my projects kay business applications, mu automate ug mga reports and graphs, so most and connected to MS office applications.

yes bro,,i know how to do subs functions, classes, namespaces, kabaw na sad ko on how polymorphism, overloading, overriding, inherritance, constructors are being used. i've been doing simple program like simple inventory using mysql server..creating and connecting to the database..updating the database using datasets and data adapter.....if imo i-asses bro..enough na ni na skills para madawat ko as entry level lang na programmer? tnx

That's great! o oi. murag dli na entry level na programmer bai. Ang difference lng kung naa ka sa company na kay ang pag connect sa mga database kay through server na dli locally. actually not all are being used sa mga applications. Unlike pag college ta na pagamiton jud ta ug inheritance. i have experienced na mas maayo pa i recycle and code kaysa i inherit sa uban na code..hehehe..try practicing kanang mga OLE objects and excel interop kay gamit kaayo pag generate ug reports

anyway, naa ko question..unsa range sa entry level na .net programmer ron bai??and asa ang hiring sa mga entry level na .net programmer karon?

That's great to hear bai. Naa to thread diri na nag discuss sa rate sa mga programmer. But I think for a junior or entry level .Net programmer at least 20-30K monthly. I know if dako2 na imu experience sa work pwd mu saka ang rate to 50K monthly.

ayaw lang sad kaayo ug focus ug .net pud kay dili ra man .net ang language sa mga companies..pare pareha ra man na sila ug concept tanan...pero hinoon usa sad na siya sa mga sikat nga language pud...

Bitaw..nindut jud naa ka specialty na language, but nindut pud naa ka kamahoan lain na language..i think as long as you know the basic fundamentals dali ra ma kat.on ang advance. Kay pareho rman na ug algorithm ang mga problem, sa syntax ra malahi..suggest ko na mag kat.on ka ug mobile programming kay mao na ang trending karon..especially Java and Object C
