Here's Senator Santiago to explain and uncover the mob's flawed mentality. Frankly but with eloquence..
Soliman thoroughly schooled by Santiago.Last week, the BWM asked Corona to inhibit himself from the Supreme Court cases involving Arroyo, whom Corona served successively as chief of staff and spokesperson when she was vice-president, and as presidential chief of staff, presidential spokesperson and acting executive secretary...
...
“You know what is good and evil because God says so? Oh, yeah? Did God speak to you, members of the Black and White Movement (BWM)?” Santiago fumed during a Commission on Appointments hearing Wednesday.
...
Santiago also accused the BWM of “pure human arrogance” for speaking as if it is the only party that can decide whether a group or issue is in accordance with its moral stance.
“Just because you go to church (does not mean it) makes you better. It just shows you believe in rite and ritual. They cannot say they are the only ones who know what is right or wrong. Are they the presidential spokesman of God?” she said.
Santiago accused Soliman and the BWM of adhering to two philosophies—Manichaeism and Populism-—that she said have been discredited by scholars.
“Manicheaism or the dualistic philosophy has already been discarded by philosophers for centuries,” she explained in an ambush interview.
...
“Meanwhile, the problem with Populist philosophy is that it tends to destroy the system of electoral choice by the citizenry (by) substituting an elite who claim they are in touch with the people who don’t know they are being touched,” she said.![]()

Abnoy should focus instead in the faltering economy of the country rather than picking fights with a branch of government that can stand up to him. That is why I did not vote for the guy, he seems to have no plans whatsoever for the country except to pick fights.
His mother came to power with high hopes for everyone but failed miserably. What we got were brownouts, coups and poor economic growth while she was out chasing the ghosts of the wealth of the Marcoses. Should Abnoy focus instead of the economy, RH bill so that the country can move forward?
how can an executive and Judiciary depts be equal if the leadership of the judiciary is appointed by the executive?
if Corona will be impeached for sure it will be Pnoy's judge will be appointed as the Supreme justice.
It is part of DeMOCRACY ug Constitution nga kong naay doubt ang mga tawo sa integredad sa ug mga violations gihimo sa Chief Justice pwede siya ma IMPEACH unsa may problema ana nga naa mana sa Constitution? Kong wala siyay sala(Corona) atubangon niya then the Senators will decide.
Supreme Court and the justices is not GOD, kinahanglan naa say mo challenge nila.
Kamo gyud lisod lisoron ninyo ang sayun.
Usa pa sa ponto nga ang JUSTICES is not an elected officials gi appoint ra sila diha sa ilang position, what if gilutoluto na sila apg appoint unsa ilang integredad questionabli? Di diay makabuhat ug actions ang mga tawo? Maoy ingon nako part of DEMOCRACY.
Paki explain lang daw sa ani...
Here's something from Philstar.com written on 18th March 2010:Section 15, Article VII of the constitution only bans the appointment of positions in the executive branch not the judiciary. Apparently, GMA did not violate anything in appointing Corona.
Supreme Court: GMA can appoint next chief justices
"In the 55-page ruling, the SC explained the intention of the framers of the Constitution was to limit the powers of the President to make appointments in the executive branch.
The framers did not need to extend the prohibition to appointments in the judiciary, because their establishment of the JBC… had the framers intended to extend the prohibition contained in Section 15, Article VII to the appointment of members of the Supreme Court they could have explicitly done so,” the SC said."
Naay missing sa imong article pag appoint sa Chief Justice nga ang outgoing President dili maka appoint ug CHief Justice within 30 days before and after the election. Kani nga part gi twist sa KORTE SUPREMA.
nya kumusta naman ni nga signature campaign? pila na ka bouk naka pirma?sige pa ni ron?naa ghapon snacks?
seriously, it is even stated in that particular article the clause "executive". If the framers had intended this section to apply and encompass the judiciary, it would have been specified. PROTIP: ARTICLE VII is titled "EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT"... ARTICLE VIII "JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT" doesn't state anything about appointments made "two months immediately before the next elections"
the bolded clause is where the allegations of CJ Corona being "Midnight Appointee" are based off. What they don't point out is this article (Article VII) EXPLICITLY states "Executive Department". There is nothing similar in Article VIII, which is the "JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT"...Last I heard, the CJ was Judicial, not executive.Article VII, Section 15. Two months immediately before the next presidential elections and up to the end of his term, a President or Acting President shall not make appointments, except temporary appointments to executive positions when continued vacancies therein will prejudice public service or endanger public safety.
