ang scary sa notepad bai kai dli nya ka malingaw coz boring usahay ng notepad... but.. whatever works... some people get inspired seeing the output dayun.. so i prefer using the tools like dreamweaver and study the code.. but i agree to to them dont be dependent on the tools.

the best bitaw magstart sa ug notepad.

actually duha gyud na imo decided bro kung unsa imo gusto or what you want to become. do you want to be a WEB DESIGNER or a WEB DEVELOPER? a Web Designer focuses on the layout and (of course) design of the web pages. iyaha na tanan 'looks and feel' sa website. the Web Developer on the other hand takes care of the program flow of the website. for example do you want to provide accounts for the viewers of your website? meaning they can register and create an account. so you'll be needing to connect to a database to store their information. this can't be accomplished with HTML alone.

if you want to be a Web Designer, then train on Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, and specially Dreamweaver. Study HTML and CSS.

If you want to be a Web Developer, then you have to choose which of the application servers you like to master or at least be familiar with: ASP, ASP.net, PHP, or Coldfusion. it's actually more of a religious decision because ASP and ASP.net means you will have to bind yourself with the MicroSoft environment. PHP is more of an open source (free) and is very flexible. it runs on any server wether Windows based or Linux based. and if you can launch your website with Linux you're sure to have super fast deployment . istorya.net is run with PHP. Coldfusion is also flexible but personally i don't find it very stable.

and being a Web Developer, you have to have at least a basic knowledge of a programming language, preferably C++ or any C-like language, or Visual Basic. BUT you don't have to master any of it. (but if you want to then most likely you'll be in demand.)

with the question as to how to best learn it, personally i think that there's nothing you can learn in school that you can't learn in your room if you have a computer and you're self-studying. the obvious difference is that you get a diploma in school and in your room, oh well... you miss out on the girls. if you plan to self-study, there are a lot of tutorials available for downloading online. but you have to choose which ones you would feel most comfortable with because some authors can get quiet technical and might only confuse or intimidate the reader. and some teach as if teaching a 12 year-old. i like the latter. and just make sure you join online forums so you can get help.

oh well... i've written a novel here. hope this helps.
