Monday

It was a cold rainy night at home and I was babysitting three adorable pamangkins.
They were so bummed out because it was raining the whole day so I made a happy-fix
of Swiss hot choco and Spanish white choco mix and toasted bread with generous
toppings of chunky peanut butter...

Every Christmas, since it's also my niece's birthday, my sister made it a tradition to invite less fortunate kids to our home as special guests to her daughter's birthday party. Aside from being able to dine and join in the games, each of them will also receive a special gift from us. Seeing their happy faces made our hearts overflow with joy...

After Bagyong Sendong left thousands of people homeless, sick and hungry, we went to almost all evacuation centers to extend our help. Together with IDS 94, we did feeding programs, medical missions and distribution of goods to the flood victims. When we went there and did our missions, some of them hugged us, thanking us for our efforts. Some even cried out of joy when despite of what happened, they found hope just for the little help we gave. It's such an overwhelming feeling seeing them with such joy in their eyes.

Things that made me happy:
1. That my family is complete, healthy, has food to serve for the holidays.
2. Today, one of my long lost friend sent me a text message with a holiday greetings!
3. I found a wonderful book (Looking for Alaska) at Booksale for only PHP 60!!!
4. I did not binge eat with all the Noche Buena food
5. The internet connection is really fast
