How to Determine Motherboard?

okay, i'm noob...not a student of any computer-related course... but is there any way na makit.an ang pangan sa motherboard within the pc (within the OS, or BioS)?

I'm going to update the bios of my friend's old pc... he doesn't have a manual (2nd hand) and i don't know how to get the motherboard name... any of you guys care to help me with this?

Try opening the case. Manufacturers do print the name, model # and bios versions on the motherboard.
