regarding the comments of people who said laggy ang Galaxy Note.... any ideas if this is because of its resolution? (800 x 1280) cos sa benchmarks it seems to do quite well vs. the other phones in the market. Also, it would help if someone can give more specific details about the lag ... like how it is in comparison to the Galaxy SII or other android devices.

Also, would anyone know what we can expect from the Galaxy SIII? Quad core? Tegra? Better camera? Higher res / size screen?

for me lang ha.. this is straight from the horses mouth.. well.. from my trusted android/modder friend (who came from Manila just to test the Note).

He said when he compared his trusted international ver. S2 (flashed it back to stock firmware) against the Note, side by side... when he switch screens and compared his S2 and the Note... He is fully convince that his S2's performance (in switching screens) is as smooth as a butter.. while the Note has some rough er. hiccups that you really can see as you compare the 2 phones side by side (switching screens comparison)


In opening apps and bringing down menus.. again the S2 has a margin of seconds between the Note.. If you have an untrained eye, you really won't see any difference and might pass it off...

But if you have an S2 already and is used to the buttery fluid motion it brings... the note might bring you some hesitations jud..

Again, don't believe in benchmarks as it is only as good as for popularizing reviews..

Feel it with your own experience... be the first to really see the difference

My friend told me.. if you are really in dire want to get the Note.. Bring the galaxy S2 with you and compare it first side by side (before buying it)

The sluggishness of the UI is already fixed by the latest firmware on the note as per posts on XDA.

when i was about to get my reserved note few days ago and compare it to my s2, I decided to decline...hehe! but instead buy galaxy player wifi 5 inches and it came froyo 2.2. I was surprised it came crispy and smoother than my G sl(2.3.5) and tab p1000(2.3.5) which run on the same engine and same installed apps yet closer to my wife arc s 1.4ghz(2.3.4) ..sa ako lang ne na matiagan!

I bought it not for me but to my son who always cuddling his hands on my s2, if s3 w/ quad core and bigger screen comes next year then i give s2 to one my kids.
