Problema ko install ug LINUX...

Hi,

Ga-try ko install Linux sa ako pc but naa error: "No hard drive found to install files." I'm using Windows XP Pro and I don't think their's something wrong with my hard disk kay Windows is working perfectly well. Ako man gi-partition ug ingun-ani:

Total hard disk size = 200gb SATA

Windows XP = 20gb
Data files = 100gb
Unpartitioned/Free Space = 80gb

I tried to install some Linux distributions through rebooting from a boot CD. Ako gi-try ug install ang SUSE, Slackware, Fedora, Debian... but mao gyud ang resulta, "No hard drive found to install files." Unsa ma'y problem ani? Please help... thanx!

for me bro, mas advisable na 2 imo hard disk one bootable by windows and other by linux, pero i think sa imo problem is the patrion ID

hmm... works well man bisag usa ra ka HDD ang gamitun. Nag OJT ko sauna sa school namo and usa ra man ka 80GB HDD amo gamitun.

try sa daw nimo tan.awa sa Computer Management sa Administrative tool ng WinXP if naka Partition og tarong imu system.

Tan.awa ni nga Columns:
Type: BASIC
Status: Healthy

Then i-partition daw to imung free space den format, then i.delete napud ang partition.
try installing again.. =)

Install your linux using manual partition druid not install directly. then sa manual partition druid,if your using redhat, select that 80gb thing freespace then create root or "/" partition to that freespace. then continue.

Try lang daw ni na way...

taronga ug partition ang 80gig part! create the / root partition, create sd swap file mga twice the size sa imo ram. Ang 80gig kai extended partition na xa? Maybe you could tel us step by step what you have done in installing linux. In my years in using linux, i never encountered that problem.

kasuway ko sa una ana. akong sata controller kay di mailhan sa linux mao nga di makita ang harddisk. nag download ko sa latest nga fedora core, nailhan na gyud.

when naa pa ko sa nec.......i never tried any probelms when installing linux os....maybe because wala ko nag dual os

try having a another hard disk.......not the partitioned one...

Well, Linux cannot support all the hardwares in the world but it's best in web hosting and some hosting jobs for it's security...

It is possible to install different OS in one hdd, pero depende sa imung Linux nga version... Sa ako kay SUSE Linux and ok ra xa og SATA...

It could be a driver problems, wala sa support sa imung Linux package ang kana nga hardware...
