and btw when you mention "sophisticated warheads" i assume you mean about the bombs the planes carry...

apparently there are still lot of D/posters who forgot that the operational cost per plane is more expensive than the price tag....

I'm sure with that kind of materials naay pinoy makabuhat na ana.. (yeah I admit it's easier said than done) but I'm leaving that task to our genius pinoy's who can someday make an idea like that. hehe

we tried before and failed there is no sense on doing it again... a lot of countries go along this route and also failed, you see when you build an aircraft you dont just build it for your self, it should have alteast can be exported....

pwede man siguro na magbuhat ka ug warplane bisan dili pang export just for national security purposes lang di ba? you know na to counter insurgency problems in our country like NPA, MILF, Pentagon and abu sayyaf.

exporting it will fund the development, remember we are not a military state... ang pinaka dako nga budget sa govt goes to social services.... if we are NoKor basin pwede pa..


BTW here are some of previous Indigenous aircraft SRDP projects before:

1. PADC/NSBD Low-wing Aircraft Prototype
2. Four-seat light utility and agricultural aircraft
3. Philippine Air Force XT-001
4. Philippine Air Force/American Jet Industries T-610 Cali (last i heard Blueprint is already sold to china)
5. PATTS/NSBD RPX-25
6. Layang (XT-004 Turboprop)

all this project died during the aquino administration...

so

Let's thank Cory Aquino for ending this project. We now have one less patently corrupt and completely unnecessary project imposed by the late dictator upon the poor suffering masses. Imagine, a Philippine Aerospace industry?!?! Talk about far-out dreams! What the country really needs to focus on is developing industries like basket-weaving and rattan furniture. Long live EDSA, Long live People Power!![/SARCASM]

mao ba.. sayang no.. well if that's the case maybe someone should try to realize
to our fellowmen na having a modern aircraft is not only for military purposes.

how about kanang mag save sa ato mga fellowmen na matanggong sa mga future natural
ug man-made calamities? dili na diay ta pwede mag ambition sa anang butanga na e upgrade
ato airforce?

and if thats the case na dili jud interesado ang kadaghanan sa ato na e upgrade ato airforce
despite the last reason to save our fellowmen from future disasters unsaon na lang nato pagtabang?

hehe.. just wondering kung unsaon na if only modernizing our airforce is the only way that is left
to save us from natural and man-made calamities kay para man gud sa uban modernizing our airforce
is just purely for military purposes.
