1. if ni increase, mura this year pa cla ni increase sa prizes but how about the others years nga nag increase sad cla then ni increase sad ang registration? It would be fair for registrants if they can show the cost of charging 1k? cost of paper(forms, id)? cost of the long sleeve shirt?? (sponsored mana, so ni bayad ang canon for that) i really need to see how they came about the 1k registration and y it keeps on increasing!!!
2. Nah! dako nang pangutana kung unsaon na nila pag implement ang locations...
3. sakto jd ka in putting "" marks... coz as we all now it not really limited.. they say 1500 ra... then mu extend dayon cla as long as naa pay mu reg... mag huot ta sa kadalanan ani ilang kalaki...
4. di jd na pwede hatag lang ug "snacks" maski once a year... sugot diay mo nga naay regular nga kawatan mu kawat sa inyon balay once a year ok ramo ana? dili man dba?

any ways... my bottom line is... WE SHOULD GET OUR MONEY'S WORTH...
take note: 1k(fee) x 1,500(# of registrants) = 1,500,000 then think, where is it all going? is their service and support on the entire competition worth 1 million 500 thousand pesos??
maybe sayon ra sa uban ang 1k.. sinsiyo ra sa uban... but what im getting from this is that "they" are taking advantage of the fact nga na USO ang DSLR and photography and their main goal is earn and not to serve/support registrants and uphold the spirit of sinulog and the competition it self.
hahay...
anyways any update sa date sa press con nila?
1. Everyone agrees that we(photographers) should get our money's worth during the competition.. despite naai sponsor then still the price but the fee is still high.. If on na toh ang conference we can address that issue.. waiting for updates about it(conference)..
2. they will find a way.. eventually.. with the CPA's input at least naa sila(S.Foundation) idea.
4. you think sinulog foundation runs on "love" alone?? think about it...
5. I know there was a year na ni complain gud ang mga tao kay ang naka daog kay klaru pag ka photoshop.. pero tanawon nimo ang previous winners after that purag lahi na man ang set of pictures..

anyways noted na imu concerns... I'll try to forward it sa CPA, or you can ask aying to help you forward sa concerns kay sometimes ra man ko mo present sa meeting.. @aying okay rah nimo bro?
I suggest IPC should join the CPA pud para if naai concern photography related, para ang pag voice out dali

sir aying naa lng q question sa #3..sa designated area ba, its a platform , stage , or unsa ba kaha ? tendency ani kay naa nka kitlens lng ( wla q nagsaway sa kitlens ha ) nga limited ila zooming nga muduol sa contingent. so , badlungon xa ug kahaon ang ID ? ...last year man gud nisikat tong nka blue ug cap kay gi macro ang contigent

i really dont get y mu increase every year...
marathon runs charges 300-500 then makita nimo unsa ilang gi gasto-an...
-starting venue(rent and stage/banners) <-- 5 to 8 hrs of rent
-paper for reg forms
-fireworks
-certificates
-medals
-singlet/tshirts
-paper where the # of the runner
-third party company/org to monitor the time of runners
-marshals
-bayad sa mga police
-snacks for organizers and participants
-water stations
-cash prizes... and i mean BIG cash prizes...
and i think i missed out nga daghan pa nga mga expenses...
and all of these are all for the benefit/support/protection of the runners (both winners and non-winners)!!!
BUT for the sinulog photo contest unsa man ilang expenses?
- paper for the reg forms?
- paper for ID?
- rent @ SM cinema(1-2 hrs) and for the exhibit area (1 month)
by canon since cla ang sponsor:
- ID sling & long sleeve shirt? <--- this is paid by canon
- printing of winning entries? <--- i think canon also is d 1 doing this
mao rani ako nakita nga possible expenses nila...
and do u think these are all for our benefit/support/protection
DO u think these are woth 1,500,000 + Canon's Payment for Sponsoring?
remember guyz the reg price has more than doubled in just 3 years... and what changes and improvements nga imong nakita?
im sorry about my ranting but i really felt they are charging TOO MUCH!
and these will not stop hangtod wlay mka stop nila...
DSLRs maybe expensive, that doesnt mean photographers are filthy rich. (maybe for some, but i could say not all)
