once you attached another lens system to another camera via adaptor, it's unlikely to AF. aLso, Aperture control is only possible using lenses with aperture ring (ex. Nikon 50mm 1.8 AF-D ).

there's a combo i like for a 4/3 system. Olympus EPL1 paired with a Nikon 50mm 1.4D . this gives you a equivalent 100mm @ F/2.8 shooting. very good portraiture coverage + free image stabilization


about the sony nex, yeah proprietary flash is a turn off and so is the sony SLR's minolta hot-shoe


if you really want an exotic mirrorless compact, (not even interchangeable), go for Fuji X100.
